Last Hots Hurrah Tournament - SEA Qualifier



Psistorm Gaming are running a $500 USD Heart of the Swarm tournament this Friday at 11am AEDT (Thur 7pm EDT)!
They have 2 invites allocated to SEA!

- First seed was determined in a series of All Star Showmatches between PsiArc, DemiLove and Seither
- The second seed will be determine by first place in this open qualifier!

The main reason we are running an additional qualifier is so that every SEA player gets another opportunity to gain important OSC points towards this years $5000+ finals.

Every player who participates in the qualifier gains 5 points! The 2 seeds then join 14 other players to fight for more points and $500 USD in the main event.

Bonus OSC points can be earned if:

Anyone ranked below 16th beats someone in Top 16: 5 OSC points
Anyone ranked below 16th beats someone in Top 17-32 ranked equal or higher then themselves: 2.5 OSC points
Anyone ranked 16th - 9th beats anyone ranked equal or higher then themselves: 2.5 OSC points
1st - 8th have no chance to earn bonus points


This Qualifiers Prizepool:

1st: $50 + 50 OSC points
2nd: $20 + 25 OSC points
3rd/4th 10 OSC points

LHHT Prizepool:

1st $300 + 275 OSC points
2nd $100 + 175 OSC points
3rd/4th $50 + 80 OSC points each
5-8th 25 OSC points each

For Best of 3 Series, both players take turns to veto 2 maps from the map pool, so there is 3 left, then they each select the map they most want if they lose, and start with the remaining map.
For Best of 5 Series, both players take turns to veto 1 map from the map pool, so there is 5 left, then they each select the map they most want if they lose, repeat, and start with the remaining map.

· All results must be PMed to CaVaLieR in-game.
· Players who are 15 or more minutes late will be disqualified, if a replacement cannot be found their opponent will be given an automatic win.
· If any player disconnects occur the match is to be resumed via replay. If a player drops twice on the same game, (G1,G2,etc), it is their opponents right to take the map win, If both players don't agree to resume the map again.
· Any disputes will be handled by the Admins after reviewing all associated replays.
· Any inappropriate behaviour will result in a disqualification.
· Players must have their own account, playing on a friends is not allowed

Oseanic StarCraft 2 Championship Series



The LHHT Tournament is a partnered tournament of the Oseanic StarCraft 2 Championship Series (OSC). The OSC is the Oceanic, South East Asian, North American and Chinese regional championship, which follows a yearly season format, where players earn points for placing in all partnered tournaments.

The top 32 players ranked via the OSC Player Leader board at the end of the season are then invited to play in the 2 day minimum $5000+ Grand Finale to determine the yearly champion! OSC World Rankings were established in December 2012.

In 2014 OSC partnered tournaments gave away $29691 combined prizepool, ($ bounties, Terran Bonus initiative, Invitationals, and LAN events were not included in this!), we had 155 completed partnered tournaments (up from 77 last year, which equates to 100% growth), and saw 358 individual players with points earned (up from 138 in 2013 = 159% growth)

You can show your support towards OSC, and help us put on events for the community for just $8 USD per month! One less chocolate bar/One less beer at the pub/a couple less songs on iTunes, etc, and the money goes towards supporting the scene It's quite common place for players/casters to have a subscription option on twitch tv (which isn't an option for us), and we feel we have much more to give back in terms of entertainment, competition and rewards. - There is an open qualifier to all SEA Players
- 2 seeds for SEA players (2/16)
- You must win a series before earning OSC points, none given just for being invited.
- Hots events are fine, perfectly balanced + complete game, it's just a lot of players have moved over to LOTV Beta to practice, but this event takes place while it's down, before full release
