About the GPD Opens
Held every Sunday (excluding Masters Cup weekend) starting between 3PM-4PM SGT, the popular GPD Open format is proudly funded and run by Eddie, with help from sc2sea staff. Restrictions are players must be in Gold - Diamond SEA 1v1 league. 128 players, single elimination format. This event is a mid tier tournament for the up and coming stars of tomorrow. Not everyone has the time or skill to be a pro gamer, and this tournament caters to the best of the rest. Winner earns the $10 prize and 1 hour of coaching from a top SEA GM coach. Top 8 from each week qualify for the monthly Masters Cup, $100+ tournament.

Eddie and the sc2sea team run the GPD's every Sunday. From GPD#46 new sponsors, prizes, and finals format were introduced. Thanks to passionate starcraft fan Criven for supporting the regualr GPD format, and team Divine Generation Gaming for sponsoring the monthly GPD Cup.

Divine Generation Gaming, is a team who love to help out the community in many different ways. We provide sponsorship for tournaments as well as putting in time to host them. We have teams in Counter Strike Source, Counter Strike Global Offensive and League of Legends. We have only recently branched out to include StarCraft 2, but have plans to make the team and our brand, a big name in community, known for our kindness and love for the game! We have recently just returned from a break over summer holidays, and are eager and ready to put in hard work for sc2sea community, improve our gaming, and contribute towards the wider esports scene.

We have previously sponsored the BSG events, and now are wanting to expand our love for the community by sponsoring the popular GPD format. Given the established success of the Master Cup , which has master league players from every part of the world, we feel there wasn't as much focus or opportunities for the GPD Weekly players, beyond the GPD Open. Thus we came up with the idea of a monthly Cup, and have looked to take an active role towards that. Our new sponsorship of the GPD's, follows on from our BSG commitments. - [Detailed House Rules] -

. You must be in the Gold, Platinum or Diamond league (1v1 - SEA license).
· All results must be messaged to DevianT or weekly admin in-game.
· Players who are 15 or more minutes late will be disqualified
· If any player disconnects occur the match is to be replayed. Players can appeal and send the replay to an admin if they believe one player was significantly ahead/behind. It is then up to the discretion of the referee to decide whether; A) the game is to be replayed, or B) player X/Y is to be awarded the win. . If a player drops twice on the same game, (G1,G2,etc), it is their opponents right to take the map win, If both players don't agree to replay the map again.
· Any disputes will be handled by the Admins after reviewing all associated replays.
· Any inappropriate behaviour will result in a disqualification.
· Players must have their own SEA account, playing on a friends is not allowed
. You are allowed to switch races
. If you were Masters only once, at the conclusion of either season 1-6, you are still eligible to play
. More than one season in Masters, or Masters League in season 7/8 = ineligible.
. No late replacements.

The Sc2sea GPD team are pleased to partner with team Divine Generation Gaming to bring this new format for those who place highly in the regular weekly GPD's. The top 4 players from each GPD Open in our 3 week cycle, shall be joined by 4 wildcards to fight it out in a single elim 16 player Cup. Examples of wildcards can be for good, or unique play in GPD's, previous GPD winners, invites to Sc2sea personalities and invites for good forum behaviour/contributions towards the community. Prize break down is $25 1st, $15 2nd, $10 3rd. The Cups shall be held the Saturday afternoon before the monthly Masters Cup. The GPD Cup is currently not running.
