As per my blog a while ago, here's a public resource that everyone can subscribe to in order to keep up with what's happening. Events that haven't been announced yet will have the days locked in, so people don't overlap stuff.

Ive planning an event (90% locked in at this point)

Qualifiers- 22nd of July
Finals- 29th of July

This is a LAN event located in Sydney, I may hold a qualifier online for Interstate players

thought people should know now ^_^ (yes Masters Cup is on that night but I aim to finish it before it starts and any finalist still remaining in the comp 2 hours before Masters Cup start time will be allowed to stay at the venue to play in Masters Cup (anyone who is eliminated prior shold have time to get home)

Just an idea.

Is it possible to put some sort of contact information next to a greyed out box on the schedule? (Ideally contact information next to each event be it announced or not)

This still ensures no information is leaked about the event - all it does is potentially let people know who is responsible for it. This would alleviate all need to add a "third party" which often is Dox.

E.G
I want to run an event on the 22nd July and go to the calendar and see a greyed out box with organiser@example.com next to it. I email organiser@example.com and explain my situation and request him/her to let me know if based on the information I am giving there will be a conflict or not.

In some cases both parties will want to keep their information exclusive and it could be hard to communicate openly but it at least provides the best opportunity to resolve potential clashes.

The eSports industry wont prosper if those running/managing the events that promote the industry aren't transparent with each other at an appropriate level. A lack of transparency will eventually end up with conflicts and arguments - which will only negatively impact the industry.

There are always going to be unavoidable circumstances and situations where this approach will not be possible. However I feel it at least provides a structure which promotes growth moving forward.

Benefits

• Promotes communication directly between organisers
• Promotes networking and partnerships between organisers
• Avoids information being skewed/misunderstood due to a third party influence
• Promotes transparency between organisers
• Ensures event conflicts are dealt with privately before public announcements are made
• Promotes prosperity and growth in eSports

A heads up to everyone, the Australian Tokyo Game Show qualifier is likely to be next Saturday, 30th June. Seeing that LANSmash Brisbane is on Sunday and the following weekend is the GESC/ACL LANs this looks like the only free weekend day.

That's the same day as the ACL Online Round. (Forgot to include it in the public version of my spreadsheet after I created the thread)
