Need your tournament/event listed on the sc2sea calendar page?
You can get this done by sending the following mods a pm and sending in the necessary info listed after the links
Name: Name of the tournament. (prefix the name with codes like [SG] [AU] [MY] [PH], etc. if they are country-specific events) Date and Time: Date and time of the tournament in SGT (GMT +8 which this forum's default timezone. If you don't know your local time with regards to Singaporean time, try www.worldtimezone.com). Thread: Link me to your thread on the sc2sea tournament forum about the tournament. If you want it listed on our calendar, it should really already have a thread here for discussion. So start your thread first before PMing us. Stream: Link to your stream or streamers if any. Misc: Any extra info you want in the description box for your event. Don’t go overboard, but if you want to include a small blurb and a link to your website, this is the place to do it.
Credits to TL's guidelines here. their guidelines by Brood makes a heck load of sense so I'm gonna unashamedly lift it off and change some stuff around so it'll suit our site slightly better.
That seems like a lot of work, can’t I just link you to the site or thread and you can add it?
No. Scrounging for information from people has become too much of a chore. This is your event, and while I have no problem facilitating you and helping you get your stuff on the calendar, I don’t have the time to go to your website, convert all your times, find your thread on the forums, discover who your streamer is, etc. If you PM me a link to some website that’s in a language I can’t read, I’m going to keep sending you back here. If you persist, you’ll get ignored. I’m not trying to be a jerk here, but it’s far easier for you to aggregate this info than for me to do it.
I run a weekly/biweekly/monthly event. Can I PM you the schedule and you add it every week?
No. If you want events added every week, you will have to send me a PM each week to re-add. This is to ensure that events are actually running and not blindly added each time. I will add events up to 2 weeks in advance, so don’t send me a PM with the times of your broadcasts for the next three months.
When should I PM you?
Any day of the week is fine, but weekdays will usually have a faster response time than weekends. Events should be PM'd atleast 48 hours
You added tournament X, why won’t you add my tournament? It’s better than that one for Z reasons
Each tournament is considered on its own merit. Some events will be treated differently than others for a variety of reasons. This is not an issue of discrimination or fairness, it’s one of practicality. Any issues you have with a tournament being denied can me asked of me in a PM.
If my tournament doesn’t meet the requirements and has no redeeming features, can I bribe you to get it listed?
Oh, absolutely. Please send your generous offers to me via PM, and it better be substantial.
I have a question that wasn’t answered here, what should I do?
You can PM it to me or post it in here, and I’ll try to answer it as best I can.
Mezza, what’s better, cats or dogs? What's your favourite pasta? What's the best pick up line to use on a cute girl? Is sc2 a bad game? What’s the best Oasis album? Do you love or hate DTs? What's your favourite book of all time? What's your favourite car? Favourite Bond girl? How do I stop banelings? How do I stop banshees? How do I stop marines?
Dogs. Linguine. "Can I buy you a drink?". Absolutely not. What's the story? (Morning Glory). Love. Jonathan Livingston Seagull. TVR Tuscan S Convertible. Eva Green. Marines, yeah, that's right. Marines. More marines.
Am I bothering you with all my tournament requests?
As long as you follow the above format, don’t feel bad about PMing us/me as much as you need.
