I think the biggest difference between Protoss and Terran is that with Terran, you have to actively pressure your opponent the ENTIRE game.
Not always true. In fact I find that Protoss is usually the one who has to actively pressure.
Example: TvP: gasless 1rax expand vs 3gate expand (e.g. Tal'darim Altar, Shakuras) - if you can hold off any assault your mid-late macro army will be much stronger with your upgrades starting up first.
As Terran if you do 1-1-1s, then yes, you have to pressure because you've invested a lot in tech and opportunity costed your macro.
oh! Nob.. am i right to say as a toss i can just turtle expand and turtle into 200/200 and go kill terran? i tot i was ahead in one of the game.. drops came in and i lost damn!
The AoE damage of psistorm with the immobilizing effect of perfectly casted forcefields that can work on air units and is as easy as 1 click, with a dt's harassment and cloak capability, the ability to spawn one of the best all-round units in the game to save yourself against practically anything you didn't see coming, and if your opponent had the nerve to actually tech to tier 3 himself you can just mindcontrol his shit anyway... Oh yeah and its available at tier 2.
Definitely go with what you like over what you're the "best" with. If you enjoy what you're playing you're having fun, and that is what a game's about. Moreover, you can always train yourself to improve (and you should!) but you can't really "force" yourself to like a race - it just doesn't work out.
So, whether you like Terran's slow-push, Protoss warping or Zerg swarm techniques, go have a blast and worry about winning later.
