Hey, I am new to this site. I am a master female Protoss and Terran player. Currently ranked 36 in the Master Division with 139 wins and 32 losses. My account name is 'beauty' and my friend code is 346. I do have a facebook fanpage you can check out and it would be amazing if you hit the like button to show support. Thanks so much, I look forward to being an active poster on this website. I am on NA srveer.
Welcome to the site!!! Hope you enjoy it here and always nice to know that it isnt just guys that like playing sc2. Good luck with the laddering and make sure to get involved in the SEA side of things plenty of tournies for master players to prove themselves on!!
Also feel free to add me, Flamga 377, masters zerg and not bad at the others :P
Right. First off, you never mentioned you were on NA. These are SEA forums. 2nd, could you please give more details then just "Hi, im masters and therefore you must like my facebook page". I don't think even pig has his own facebook page, haha

PiG most definitely does. But I agree with the rest.

I'm not saying its a fake or whether it is legit person or not. But this is in the persons facebook page info.
- So, some people are acting like me on stagecraft 2 creating accounts on StarCraft 2 forums and smurf accounts as 'beauty' in StarCraft 2. My account is beauty and my friend code is 346. Also, the only websites I am on is Zeek as beauty Twitch.tv as Beauty346 and ownd3d as Beauty346. ALL OTHERS ARE FAKE. -
Wanted to add this in case it's someone abusing her account/name. If it's not WELCOME! hope you do well and has heaps of fun.

Guys, I want to mention that I was the one that suggested she come here. After playing against her in the Z33K NA Daily, she mentioned her fb page to me and I think something about the fact she wanted to get involved the SC2 community. Anyway, I mentioned this website to her as an example of a friendly SC2 community

We would be more friendly if she didn't come onto another regions' forums asking for support when she has barely given us any information about herself.
could just be me but the whole stating out that its a female kinda just seems like desperate attention seeking to me.... which is made abit more so by the face book "fanpage" : /, but hey that could just be me
Ignoring the rest of the negatives, these boards are SEA specific but it doesnt bother most people!!! Suggest getting a SEA account if you wanna join most things here, and as an added bonus SEA accounts get a free NA account to boot.
So Im a dude and went through the photos, beauty if you ever come and read this, you should do those signs for our clans. This could be the key to a hoard of female fans....*cough* korea *cough*
I joined here because I was thinking about playing on SEA. I posted my fan page because it gives a more in depth info on me has my stats and some replays. I don' steal headsets that thread is not about me, learn to read. This is why I play on NA because over there everyone is nice and doesn't start drama or be assholes to new forum user. The way you have all acted is rude when I just joined here to be an active forum poster and to transfer from NA to SEA because I went 139 wins with 32 losses in the Master Division on NA server. Also ranked Master division in Randoms 2's 15 wins and 2 losses.

You're doing it wrong, if you just said in the main post that you were thinking of trying out SEA instead of coming across like this:
I don't think you would have got the same reaction.

Don't take the posts in this thread too harshly, it's just the way you advertised yourself came across a bit strong perhaps.
I'm sure if you hang around a bit and get involved people will warm to you, perhaps look into paragraphs too, can't hurt
Ahah wow I like this site, threads like this is partly why. It also shows we're a pretty tight community - albeit at the (likely) cost of a new member.
O well.
Btw.....

I can appreciate this sentiment, but before getting too aggressively defensive, I think if you read over your post imagining it was made by someone else, you would see it could be a natural conclusion for some to think the purpose you are here is to promote your facebook page. One of the reasons the community is such a fun place to be is that we don't have anonymous advertising strewn around constantly. It is truly a community and if someone has some initiative/web page, people usually flock to support them. We love our community and want to protect it, and it truly is a great place to be.
Basically, it's not about people just being rude, it's that there has been a disconnection between the intended message of your original post and the way it was perceived by the majority of people.
I sincerely hope you do go on to become an active member of the community, and I'm sure there's plenty of activity here for you.

Yeah, if you're gonna play on SEA, hang around and get to know us... the tone of your intro seemed a bit 'LOOK AT ME I'M A GIRL'... there are a few girls on here but we don't jump around and loudly tell everyone as soon as we introduce oursleves.

Agreed, and there are a few of us here being nice and offering ourselves as friends for games etc. But I will say if your expecting everyone to be all nice and such because your a girl p-laying sc2 then youll be sadly mistaken. Many people have many opinions and its up to you to prove yourself as a member of the community.
It is normally like this with most new posters to any forum, jump on TL and itll be the same, im even sure they will just close the post. And if you read the forum rules you would know that there is a thread setup for people to introduce themselves.
Sorry to be such a downer but we all have rules and people have opinions. Grow a thick skin and either prove em wrong or tell em otherwise.
Aside from this have a chat to most of us and youll find we are fairly nice.
Exactly, look at Zepph, she is a girl and she doesn't say "oh hi I'm a girl, worship now". No instead she proved herself by being a super awesome caster and being the voice of SEA
After reading your second post, now I think that:
1. U needa have some sense of humor
2. Calling people on the forum that u just came assholes is not a good idea
3. People on na more polite then sea? I'm sry but looooooool
4. If the FB page is to let people know u then why are you asking us to like it??
5. Srs get a sense of humor and chillax
Sry if that is not true but so far that is what ur post have told me
*TARogue: *
i dont see why every girl who plays this game needs to make themselves a fanpage. WIN SOMETHING FIRST
*TAminimat: *
Whats your fan page rogue?
*TADivinity: *
^ hahaha
Since I can't rep again, I would NEVER make my own fan page, i'ts retarded, completely attention seeking and self absorbed and I really do not understand two things:
- why she needs a fan page when she hasn't done anything but be a girl who got masters
- why she came here and the first post she made on our forums where one person knew her was to go and like her facebook fan page, WHY DO WE WANT TO BE YOUR FANS WHEN WE HAVE NO IDEA WHO YOU ARE, YOU ARE NOT PART OF OUR COMMUNITY AND YOU HAVEN'T DONE ANYTHING?!?!
I find it retarded, as stated in my last post, that
1 - ANYONE makes their own fanpage (except TtPiG)
2 - That she or ANYONE should have a 'fan page' when they haven't achieved anything but play Starcraft, if they have never won anything or done anything notable
3- That before she ever posted here, got to know us or participated in anyway on the forums her first post was for us to go and like said page, I would react the same no matter who did this.
I myself am a woman, I am not being sexist. I just find this stupid.
So many angry people... Whilst I think its stupid to be parading around that youre a girl whos ok at sc2, (if it is indeed not a troll) I think its kinda rough how the community responded with so much negativity and hate and making such a huge deal over something, i wonder how they would have reacted if it was a guy who said the exact same thing, probably with a lot more indifference than hate purely because youre a girl who is doing it.
Also epic lol because I dont think people would say 1/10th of the stuff they do in real life to a girl so I dont think they should be saying it online but I spose thats just the interenet!
i dunno, my 0.02

Anyone who comes on the internet and doesn't expect negativity and hate is simply naive and doesn't understand how the majority of people use their "internet anonymity".
I for one would have said exactly what I said even if it was a guy. I also would say exactly the same in real life. My pet peeve is people automatically assuming that everyone uses the internet as a shield and says shit they wouldn't say in real life.

I'm actually nicer on the internet than in person.

You're also a girl on the internet and we all know how that works

To be honest, my girlfriend started playing starcraft and she is progressing quite rapidly. She is stubborn and won't let me help her. So I can see girls playing SC realistically.
However not that I think about it, lets setup a stream and fanpage.... I will play for her and show her on the webcam pressing keys while I play for her ^^ Make a killing.
Actually I wouldn't want people drooling over my girlfriend lolol
You would have my support if you approached it differently. Go to MLG or a mainstream event, show what your made of. That is how ailuJ gained popularity, she did it by going to MLG and getting knocked out my LosirA... not by spamming her pages everywhere and OMG look at my stats... Are they yours?
You can't be serious trying to earn reputation and status that way. Asking for likes to start streaming, you blackmailing people to become fans??? I dont see anyone else asking to like them to stream lol
Yea this thread has run its course and will be closed.
Beauty, I suggest posting in the "Introduction thread" with a proper introduction of yourself if you really wanna be part of our community. As most people said, right now it just looks like advertising and you wanting to get more likes for your page.
Or perhaps make a new "the girls of sc2" thread asking all the sc2 girls here to introduce themselves too. Never realised there were so many till i saw all of them posting in this thread!
Girls who play SC2 are uncommon and its always nice to know they are around and there are members of the opposite sex who appreciate the game just like us. Anyway with that thread you will remain respectful to other girls by acknowledging their presence - and who knows what can come out of it - maybe there can an all girl team or female 1v1 competition, or at the very least you can make some new female gaming friends on SEA.
