This is how I macro not the best but pretty damn good for a player like me, just have some good hotkeys and location keys and try to multi task like building drones and at the same time getting upgrades, overlords,etc.

Have a look at this guide. I found it really helpful as it set some goals so that after a match I could go watch my replay and see exactly how well I did. The goals were also not too much at once, and were added in nicely as you got better.

just play 1000 games and you will find its automatically better, then go play another 1000 and see where you're at. GL HF on ladder, welcome to sc2

a drill i did when i was terran was to constantly build scv's in a yabot the steps were like this

No gas
You have to costantly make workers
at least 1 sup dep must be building at all times
If your money is over 150, there is a scv in production and a sup is building build a rax
If all of these things are building and you have money q marines.

repeat the process

build scv, build sup build rax cash left? Empty it into marines

it starts to get better when you have like 15 rax and you can dump cash and every rax is producing a marine, ull get to 200.

the key things to watch out for

1. when do you get sup blocked? if you do this should be a marker to start building 2 supps at a time.
2. Is your money getting way out of control even after spending it on marines? Build another CC or even 2 at expansions,
3 if you money is getting too out of control SPAM rax.
4.Has money ever gone over 500?. if so ur macro is slipping, You simply havent got enough shit out to spend it.

Its a nice drill i did to get me checking sup, cash and as soon as i did i looked at the mini map, i started doing it on ladder and won a ton of games with it in bz, didnt expect to, you can get maxed out around 13 mins or so i think.

another way to practice this is to get to 3 cc's straight away and try to keep 1 scv building in all of the cc's for the whole game , its difficult at the start but as you reach sat on each base ur money gos out of control and then the macro of trying to spend the cash begins of being able to spam sup deps, rax+rines and then take it to another level making sure every building is producing something, if you still have too much cash.
