I amtrying to play age of empires 2 with my friends, and when we all load up to joina game (through game ranger) the game will immediately stop responding. Sometimes the game will up and say "loading multiplayer" but then stop responding completely.

Aoe2 has a history of having connection issues. Make sure everyone is patched properly and has all the settings for game ranger. iIf that doesn't work, try Voobly - that's where I play.

I've been playing a lot ol AoC lately aswell, use Voobly over GR. 100x easier to set up and find matches

when i used to play with friends from school, there were people who couldn't play, people who could join but not host, people who could only host and i was the only one it would let do both :/
