Hi guys

So I watched SOTG last night (yeah almost all 5 hours of it!) and was just wondering what people thought of the whole Naniwa situation?

I'm of 2 minds on the subject, but i'm leaning more towards siding with Incontrol in that he is a paid professional and sometimes you have to do some things that you don't like (in any job actually)

yes it was awesome, no i didn't like the way nani handled the game but i can understand why he did what he did.

Naniwa shouldn't have done it. Regardless of what people say, there was a clause in his agreement with GOMTV. It was their call, and I'll stand by it.

To be honest, I have to agree with Mr. Chae on the situation. This is a professional sport. Yes it may be just computer games but it's professional. How can we keep it that way if a PROFESSIONAL PLAYER does something as stupid as that in a game just because he's frustrated. That is just worse than IdrA. I don't think he deserves to be kicked out of Code S or whatever it was, but I do believe he should be punished. So, thank you GSL for having standards.

Well to me you would look at it as if its another sport, let's say football. If you're last in the group and there is no hope at all of changing anything, you still play the whole 90minutes regardless, even if you were fooling around the whole game. But it's Naniwa so I could understand the thought process.

Also, perhaps we should talk about SotG if this is an SotG thread. That drunk episode was kinda funny =D

by that logic every player who leaves before his last building is destroyed should receive an equal penalty, since they're not playing 'the whole game'.

revoking his code S seed for using a bad strategy is pretty hard to justify. GOM's attempts to portray naniwa as a player who cares more about money than championships would be laughable if they weren't serious

Naniwa was an idiot and he had to live with the punishment he got, and even he readily admits that now and (hopefully from the sound of it) realises the stupidity of what he did.

That said, I think the Koreans are very melodramatic and the community in general has gone too far with the Naniwa hate, acting like he's the new Hitler or something.

Nani lacks the attitude for a pro-gamer. I agree with Leenock as well in regards to his skill, he hasn't been all that impressive in Korea imo.
