Clan FaDe was birthed on the Battle.net forums a month or so after the release of retail Wings of Liberty by FaDeJinRyu. Lowly Bronzes, Silvers and a few Golds joined to bask in awe of JinRyu in all has top Diamond Terran glory. The clan gradually grew but mainly remained a very casual and laid back atmosphere. Some players answered the call to help with things like recruitment and the website.
FaDe Fact: The first FaDe logo used on the website was created by the infamous Zanooku. The current ghost logo was done by the awesome rezyn8 of SiliconSports.net
After a few months FaDe's growth stagnated and even went into decline. One by one FaDe Officers and even our leadership fell to the dark side; converting to League of Legends. The only remaining officer, FaDeMeatex, took over clan FaDe and continued until the start of Heart of the Swarm. together with the only other remaining member of the earliest of days - FaDeDaedalus (then known as FaDeJoshboy).
Clan FaDe continued as a casual / social clan, with just a pinch of competitiveness, we let almost anyone who wanted join and grew massively - hitting a peak active members list of around 60. New logos, more higher ranked players, events like Open Tournaments and FaDe versus Mafia battle followed. As we grew we gradually increased the rank cut off to diamond and above but still tried to offer any lower ranked players a chance to join. This changed when players that join and raised their hand for SEACL disappeared after just a few weeks so FaDe made the move to accept new players by invitation only.
Unfortunately Fade finally died in the early stages of Heart of the Swarm, seeing most members drift off to other SEA clans and to real life.
However with Legacy of the Void on the horizon, Fade was reborn in March 2015 under the new leadership of PressureTest.
FaDe Fact: FaDe has held three Open Tournaments funded entirely by donations from its members, almost all of whom were students.
Even the smallest donations help keep sc2sea running! All donations go towards helping our site run including our monthly server hosting fees and sc2sea sponsored community tournaments we host. Find out more here.
