Its a little late, but never fear the February Update is here! Its been a huge start to the year for the SEA community and the big focus for both the community and the Fusion Slugs is the SEACL which is currently taking place. The Fusion Slugs have four sides entered, 1 in Tier 3 (), 2 in Tier 4 () and 1 in Tier 5 ().
After two rounds the Fusion Slugs havent had the best start, with only 1 series win out of the opening 7 matches across all the tiers. However 4 of those 6 losses were in the final ace match and thus ensured both minor loss points and heartbreak for the slugs. Still it could of been a lot worse and our sides know they only need a small improvement to turn those into wins.
The biggest news of the month for the Fusion Slugs was receiving tthe runner up award for Best New Clan in the SC2SEA 2012 Awards. It was a huge honour for the clan and great reward for the hard work of our leaders and players a like. The goal now is to continue the improvement and continue to show great sportmanship and commitment in every thing we do.
We also changed alot of our policies and implemented some to help our players have clearer understandings of where we are heading. We had a census of all members to find out what we need to do for 2013.
We had a busy end to our recruitment for SEACL, picking up many players:
And promotion wise we also had a lot of action!
We had GM status for a while for Captain, Uroburos, liiooo and Apathetic. Big congratulations to those 4.
"and we'll invest more on Bots, as our first Trial bot, the 'NemBotElie' was a huge success, organising tournaments and being part of the Council of mGG. But there are a few bugs in which the bot cannot go past the skill level of a Platinum Protoss." - PaRAnorMaL
This is my first ever sc2 team. Reason for joining a clan is to open myself up to more players and learn more about the game. The Fusion Slugs has been friendly and supportive so far, really enjoy myself here. When I wasn't in a team, the sole purpose of laddaring was to try to climb up and the only way I learn more was from youtube or streams. Now in Fusion Slugs, I'm laddaring to train myself for tornys sure as SEACL or even GPD to try make my team proud. It enhances my purpose in the game and helps carry on the passion. Thus I truly encourages people out there playing by themselves to take 1 step more by finding a team and join in the community. It will be an experience you will enjoy better.
