About TA:

Terror Australis (more commonly known as TA or [TA]) Was a clan that originated in Brood War. TA played in the iCCupCL, as well as the WGT ClanLeague. TA hit it's peak as a clan a third of the way through 2010 in BroodWar, as they reached the B-League of iCCupCL due to the hard work of TASpud (Voices), TAEdgE, TAHarlekuin and newcomer to the team TAiU (G4i.Etude). Along with these players, players such as Scarecrow, LoSt, Smace, Noodle, Lkori and Cosmic would often fill the reigns if a player was missing.

TA was a decently sized clan, acquiring the website http://terroraustralis.webs.com later on in it's BroodWar life, and maxing out at around 20-25 members. TA owned a ventrilo server, which housed a maximum of 8 members online at once, which would be laughed at when you think of the TeamSpeak numbers currently. Still, it was a fun time looking forward for TA. A fight to be one of the 8 online was very common back in the early days.

As StarCraft 2 grew in popularity, and was eventually released, TA already had players that were grooming themselves for the top flight of Australian SC2. TAdeth was a top Australian player in beta, as well as TAPinder (not in TA officially at the time) and TAHectic (known as Wretched.) TAEdgE and others dabbled in the Beta, but Pinder and deth were big players in Australan beta tournaments. Most notably, Pinder established a rivalry with mOOnGLaDe, and lost to a mothership created by HuK. We love Pinder.

TA kept up with BroodWar as much as it could for 3 months after SC2's release, but finally gave in to the SC2 craze. TA's iCCup page can be found here: http://www.iccup.com/dota/teams/12108.html

along with the Archaic MSI players deth and Pinder, TA was joined by talent from BroodWar that quickly picked up the game - EdgE, Sanchez and Spud (now known officially as Voices). Voices and EdgE slowly but surely picked up the game, often playing each other to learn. The two played in a tournament, Dogsi Monthly 3, a sign that these 2 were here to stay. TA was a fairly solid team with a good core lineup, but in late 2010, recruitment started.

In a flash, TA acquired many players that to this day are core to the teams functioning, involving themselves in TeamSpeak, SC2SEA chat, and tournaments proudly representing TA. Some examples include riiChard, Rossi, Champi, StarScream, KrUnch and everyone's favourite JeLLy.

TA quickly grew from 20 members, to around 70. This number fluctuates to this day, where the player count stands at around 65 to 75. The most members ever in TA at one time was 89, in April. SalvatioN had also joined, the big american who had hung around TA since the BroodWar days and is one of the most charismatic entitys in TA, as well as a big hunk of American muscle.

A concept then continued to soar in popularity in TA - TA ProLeague. TA had run a ProLeague in BroodWar, where the star team featuring TAScaramanga, TASpud, TAdeL, TALoSt and TAImage stole the show and came blasting through. With a huge player base, TA started the next season of ProLeague. This ran from November up until June, where I whip my lair back and forth (IWMLBAF) defeated Marauder Stole My Bike (MSMB) in a super ace match, where EdgE's team MSMB, also featuring LoSt and KrUnch, fell to IWMLBAF, captained by Hocus and featuring Amnesiac, ShiHao and Avanar. The current season of TAPL has started with a new drafting system, and was currently being lead by Rossi and riiChards team, until it was put on hold due to Scarecrow's departure.

Numerous players started to groom under the guidance of the TA elite. One such player is Rossi, who grew from Bronze up to Platinum, and then quickly rose to the top of the SEA scene, where has beaten all the best in his own clan including EdgE, deth, Pinder and Voices, as well as being one of the best terrans in SEA, where he participated in the Battle.net invitational, and has won an abundance of community opens, go4sc2's and other various tournaments. TA is seen as a great clan to grow as a player, as it is a community clan.

TA acquired a TeamSpeak server at the start of the year thanks to the magnificent efforts of Ridiculisk, which is still packed to this day (4/10/2011). Often, 40 people would be on the TeamSpeak server at all times, and TeamSpeak is the lifeblood of TA. The who's who mingle on here, and they have been joined by various members of the community such as xGKingLight (TALight!), xGKingMafia, JacziE and FXOFrequency.

TA started to gain a reputation that was not accepted very well in the community. TA was seen by some as completely BM, and others as rebels. This is best represented by the 'TA Rep Train' on SC2SEA.com, as well as a war with nirvAnA and others at times and the trolling of various streams + providing parody streams of their own. The players themselves have been prone to BM others, and have gained bad reputations in that area too.

Still, TA has been a valued asset to the community. Housing the largest player base in all of SEA, and possibly the world, TA has provided tournaments such as the TA Invitational, and members such as deL, riiChard and Lkori have helped to run tournaments such as the BSGCL, and iCHOR invitationals. TA is constantly representing tournament and filling numbers wherever needed, and has some great ambassadors for the community such as riiChard, EdgE and Scarecrow, as well as some controversial figures such as Pinder (JPMoney), deL, deth and MiLes. Who could forget Hocus news aswell? We all miss hocus dearly.

TA looks forward to the future with high hopes. A competitive edge is hoping to be explored soon, with numerous endeavors planned. To any people who have ever been offended by TA and kept reading, we are sorry if you took any comments TA members said personally, and we do not want to intentionally cause harm, but a lot of members just don't give a **** like most Australians do. Love TA or hate TA, the impact is there.

TA also has released a new, fun concept: Retro Rumbles, where competitors Cosmic, KrUnch, Pinder and EdgE all fight to be the World Champion of each game, with drinking involves. The 4 bond together each championship. KrUnch has currently taken the lead on the podium with 2 gold's.

P.P.S: TA would like to thank Tom (Tomothy) 'Scarecrow' Collins for his efforts with TA. Tom joined with deL in the creation of TA back in State of Origin BW Season 1. Tom has put in countless hours of effort into helping TA flourish. Tom has managed the running of TAPL, new members, outside tournaments and also kept in touch with LANs and being a valued community member in general. Tom was the head of the brainstrust for events such as SEACL, and also helps in managing players in tournaments and gives them the motivation you expect. Decisions have been made in abundance, let's not forget that. We thank Tom again for everything, and wish him well in Korea. Much love for Tom everyone!

TA Inside Jokes/Stereotypes of members on TeamSpeak

JP Money is known as a Serial Killer, due to his calculating, demonic eyes and seedy jawline.
riiChard is known as a pedophile, for his ongoing pursuit of young member TAavanar
TARossi is known as a huge dick, but very active and funny.
TAamnesiac is known for being the most muted person in TeamSpeak
TAVoices is one of the biggest boys in TeamSpeak, and is the creator of 'TheDojo', where he has taught many players and often goes for his own quiet time practice. He is known to be drunk at odd times
TAJeLLy/Zac - Drunk a lot, but very lovable. Zac has started many sayings and phrases in TA, such as 'Jackie Chan is the nicest guy in every movie' and the 'yyyyyyyang' craze.
TAEdgE is known for his phrase 'shut up', and also telling that same person he likes them straight afterwards.
TASalvatioN/Kaz is known for sticking to his buddy Voices, and entering to theme songs such as 'Return of the Mac' and John Cena - my time is now. He has an infectious laugh that captivates each channel
TAyang is known for yelling his name, consequently everyone then yells his name.
xGKingLight is known for causing some of the funniest arguments, where you do not know if he is serious or not. Light can be a confusing one at times, but we love him.
TAdeth and TAdippa are known for their provocative and often downright disgusting links that they post in chat.
TAFourby, TAMiLes and TAsCarLet(fake asian) are known for being extremely asian
TADivinity is known for being the shittest troll
TAShiHao is known for being extremely loud and stupid, as well as funny. He is the only singaporean in the clan, therefore he is prejudiced a lot. We love ShiHao, and wish him well in the army.
TALoSt frequently runs his inadvertent TV Show (Jason Bayne's Family Feud), where he yells at his mother for dinner, and gets into frequent fights with his sister over mushrooms.
TANoodle and SCM are known for ghosting channels, and Noodle especially will 'afk' for 5 hours yet always be there to respond.
Ridiculisk is known for housing his group of friends, who have never said a word to the SC2 players
ziE is known for secretely team gaming with every member inside and outside of TA
Spider is known as the new ShiHao, not for his singaporeaness, but for the amount of bans per day.
TAStarScream is known for his huge, loud, girly and groundbreaking laugh that goes on for hours and is bought on without warning, as well as trying to be Korean.
TAdeL is considered to be a full time smoker due to his ravaged voice (and good looks.)
TAChampi is the no.1 name dropper in TA, and often finds things impossible to beat. We miss Champi however.
