Symphony of Super Mario Results

Doing my own delayed write-up just to add to the history of these events . The second Retro Rumble was planned a bit more carefully than the 1st (more than 8 hours) but did not live up to the first one. It was still a great event, with fun shared all around and an increased viewership was attained. It was unfortunate that it ended in 1 hour 35 minutes (first one lasted 4 hours). Unfortunantly, everyones favourite TACosmic had personal issues just under halfway into the event, so it was a 3 man race for a lot of it, until the newest GrandMaster, TAdippa hopped into action and took the embarassment away from me for a while. The unfortunate few who drank when EdgE drank sure felt what EdgE himself was feeling too. Luckily, no one followed dippa, and he couldn't even drink according to the rules or we'd have a very very messy night. KrUnch and Pinder played properly. RESULTS! 1st - KrUnch. For the second week in a row, Max O' Callaghan was able to take down the race. Breezing through the start head to head with Pinder, he was acquiring a large quantity of lives and was taking alternative paths to the WCG 2011 Melbourne champion JPMoney. Despite dragging behind Pinder for the majority, a hiccup near the end from Pinder was capitalized on by KrUnch. 2nd - Pinder. JP Money, everyone's favourite (or least favourite, depending what side you are on) personality came in with high hopes and the biggest odds for victory. Pinder lived up to his odds, and raced away from EdgE, Cosmic and Krunch at world 3 to take the dominant lead. Unfortunantly, the drinks he consumed due to being in first caught up to him as the race came to a close. A plethora of anger inducing deaths finally lead to one big slip up, leading Pinder to second. 3rd - EdgE. EdgE was at 20-1 odds this week, much worse than last week, and he has experience with this game! For some reason, people believed in EdgE and EdgE was determined to rewrite history and give himself a better name then 'that guy who went on adult-media sites and played the wrong game'. EdgE was neck and neck with Pinder and KrUnch until the commencment of world 3, which EdgE was then stuck on for the remaining hour, as constant game overs led to drink after drink for him and his followers. EdgE was able to improve his official placement by 1, but thanks to the departure of Cosmic. 4 - dippa. The unlikely entrant, dippa was playing along himself for the fun of it and having never played the game before, was rumored to have died 50 times on the first level. Mr. Walker, as his mother knows him, was playing with nothing to lose and to his dismay by the end nothing was gained either besides 1 level advancement. We all acknowledge dippa for giving it a go and taking the 4th spot. Thank you Alex! DNF - Cosmic. Cosmic was dominating the race early, but slowly calmed down. He looked geared to go toe to toe with Pinder and KrUnch as world 4 approached, but a personal issue forced him out of the race. We hope everything is ok Cosmic, and hope you are fit for the next race! Mega Man is the current plan for the next race, but we are still taking ideas. Polls will be up to (possibly) decide the drink of each player, and possible rules.
