I'm looking to get onto the NBN, i've been having a hunt around and there is alot of options as far as providers that dont seem all that much different especially price wise, so i'm looking for any help anyone can give me with making the decision, good and bad experiences with different mobs etc and what speed did you opt for like i'm only gonna be running the one pc so i imagine going with the full blown would be overkill or would it be worth it if it was only a small difference from the next one down price wise, i've had some trouble with my ISPs in the past hence my hesitance with making the decision, any help would be sincerely appreciated

I don't actually know NBN is likely not going to come near me at all. Check your major providers. Do you download stuff? Do you stream/watch streams? How often are you on your pc, all questions you need to answer to think about what internet connection to get.

Meanwhile: iinet, exetel, and many others have great plans - the bonus with NBN access is choice. No longer is there the bullshit of Telstra's big dick up in everyone's grill. I don't think there'd be a huge amount of people that can share experience with NBN just yet, given how limited the distribution is.

Well, one of his big election promises was to pursue FTTN over the current FTTP rollout, so he'll be changing what the NBN Co. are doing at least. I don't know if he's drawn up any legislation yet, so it remains to be seen what he'll actually push through parliament (and what the greens/labor will allow through the senate).

Bottom line from what I've been reading is that if you already have the construction of the NBN in the actual "construction" phase, so far it'll keep going and the new govt won't stop it. If your area doesn't have NBN in construction yet, it's quite likely it'll stop, or at least pause for a little while.
