Hey guys,
I have been in silver league for 3-4 weeks now and in that time I have won over 200 games and beaten many golds and platinum + diamonds but I am still not showing any signs of moving to Gold. I have recently been matched against Golds a lot more but that has been happening for around 3 days now. The only time I really lose a gold game is if it is ZvZ, if not I usually win. I am second in my sub division with I think 200 wins and 212 losses (Something like that) Do I need that to be positive? Any help on this matter would be really appreciated!

Don't mean to seem like a douche but i'm pretty sure if you were supposed to be in gold you would get promoted. You can always try leave league and play another placement to see if you get gold

you are 2nd in your league because of the amount of games you've played. not because you are top silver. If you are losing more then you are winning points literally don't matter as they will increase if you just play a lot of games, to be promoted or have a chance of being promoted you would need to keep at least a steady 60% winrate on ladder.

you (usually) have to have a >50% win ratio to get promoted, and be consistently beating people higher than you to get promoted. having more loses than wins you'll never get promoted. Keep practicing

The way mmr works is that it puts you in an area where ideally you win 50% of your games. If you win more (60-65%) you'll get promoted eventually, if you lose more (35-40%) expect a demotion. Atm with 200-212 you're sitting at 48.5% winrate so you're basically exactly where you're meant to be.

You will be promoted when you win significantly more games than you lose. It also won't be easy, I don't know how many games you've played in total but 412 games in one season means your MMR is pretty cemented, so focus on your improvement more than just winning games.

Cheers for the help everyone it is pretty much just one day I went on like a 16 loss streak as I was not focusing correctly and that broke everything :'( My W/L and everything died that day. I just found it weird how I got the game like 4 weeks ago and after a few days got promoted silver and it is taking this long for Gold, cheers again everyone. Will try and improve my ZvZ aswell as I am losing around 25% of my ZvZ games.
