World esport masters drops WC3/1.6 and picks up SC2/LoL

According to cnFrag.com, World eSports Masters has decided to drop its long standing titles Counter-Strike 1.6 and WarCraft 3 in favor of League of Legends and StarCraft 2.
Although no official announcement has been released from the WEM staff, cnFrag has reportedly found out that WEM 2012 will not feature Counter-Strike 1.6 or WarCraft 3 anymore, as both are dropped in favor of newer titles LoL and SC2.
The same organizers used to run World eSports Games which saw four seasons take place in Korea and China, which were won by NoA, Begrip and wNv. Two years later WEM replaced old WEG format, seeing mTw, fnatic and WeMadeFOX crowned as champions.
Most recently in November, the 2011 WEM event was pushed back due to problems in negotiations with local Hangzhou government, although at the time WEM was still believed to feature CS as well.
Organizers of WEM are also in charge of the annual e-Stars Seoul tournament, so it is possible e-Stars might also be making the switch to newer games which would mean dropping CS, as World Cyber Games reportedly did earlier this week.
