My brother emailed me this youtube link showing someone doing sentry drops into mineral lines. I don't know if anyone here has done it themselves or had it done to them but it looks like it could possibly be really effective.

Gotta have balls to move 400 gas of sentries away from main army, if opp attacks at the same time - it's game.

I'll try it in customs with clanmates, will post later on results with replays.

Sounds cool... I might try it on ladder but the thing is people scout drops better than that.

Definitely try it in team games assuming your opponents survived your early st harass or cheese.

yeah id be worried movin that much gas around especially as toss. Means you gotta invest that much more sentries to have in your main army as well and tbh i dont think its worth it. kinda cool tho. Also, when he opens up the tab showing OMFG HE KILLED 20 WORKERS#@#$!@#!% a lot of the time if you count by the drone deaths he only kills like 10 or so, meaning the drops really arent super effective, just pretty annoying

how about combining 1 sentry and 2 high templar, using the sentry to forcefield the two sides while the high templars storms the entire mineral patch with 2 storms?

I tried Sentry Drops. It's actually pretty ******* good but normally my opponents pull off the drones as soon as they see the warp prism so I only kill around 11-15 drones (which of-course is still worth it).

Ahah this looks awesome.. deffinetly will try this.. as far as the cost of not having these sentries in your army.. I think that you pay the same risk with any sort of drop.. sure this drop is gas heavy.. but Ht drops are the same if not more expensive. I deffinetly think in almost all these games he was playing a low level player but deffiently looks like something that us toss could use..
