You should research stimpack as soon as your first tech lab is finished. Usually i start my refinery at 13 supply.
One refinery is enough to feed three barracks with two tech labs and one reactor.
You should push just before stimpack research ends, so when you hits the opponent's army stimpacks should be finished.
When you push you should expand, build the command center in your base and once you upgraded it to orbital command you can lift it to your expo. If you don't feel safe you can build two bunkers to protect your expo while you're researching the orbital command.
I haven't looked at the replay but as HuT says this is effectively an all in - the transition here should be expand as you push out and start making factories and starports as minerals and gas allow.
Stim/Combat shield should also be researched much earlier.
From the you tube video, this isn't an all-in (I think it was from Husky Starcraft actually).
basically you push out and have a poke around his base, if it works well keep the pressure on, if i goes ok, tech up and get medivacs and if it goes terrible, turtle up with bunkers.
Those are exactly what he said to do above, both the builds and the follow ups
if you've got too many minerals and you want to do an all in push.. take some scv's with you on the push to tank a bit and make some bunkers... or.. cut SCV's earlier... OR make more rax...

You're not having any plans to take an expansion with your transition, which means you're even more all-in by teching to Starport tech. vT, Tank expands will crush you, vP good forcefields and then the colo push will crush you, and vZ well, they make lings and crush you.
I suggest a 2 rax expansion build and then transitioning from there.
Dont know how good this youtube guy is, but the build doesnt seem very good. If you notice even around the 3 minute mark, you were floating around 300 minerals. Thats because your constant scv production gets you more money, and 1 rax isnt going to support it.
Another thing is get the supply depots as and when you need them, prebuilding depots ie being 20/40 is not very good..because in the early game that money could be spent else where in a more productive fashion.
Another small thing I noticed..you didnt hotkey your buildings. At the very least you want to hotkey your command center to 4 and ensure your producing scvs at all times. I used to hotkey my cc to 4 and my rax to 5, and factory to 6. Remember an ideal build is one where your constantly producing stuff from every production facility you make.
Check the date on the youtube vid, i think its probably from like early beta lol, dont use that any more. use team liquid builds or builds the pros use from their replays, practice ur macro mechanics and such and you'll improve eventually
yeah, i remember seeing that tutorial. it's very very outdated.
here's a rule i always follow: if you ever end up with extra money, and you're already making units/scvs, expand and/or throw down some more production facilities.
a problem a lot of lower league players have is that if they use the same buildings as pros (eg 2gate robo), they aren't able to spend their money fast enough, and end up stockpiling over a thousand resources in a short amount of time. in this example, it's not a bad idea for the player to go for a 3gate robo, or even 4gate robo he doesn't plan to expand, as long as he avoids stockpiling a huge amount of resources.
so for you, i suggest sticking with the build you've learned (for now), but adapting it. Make it a 4 rax, or a 3rax into expansion (which goes down when you stockpile enough resources).
eventually your macro will improve, and you'll find that since you're spending your money more efficiently, it will be further and further into the game until you can afford the expansion. At this point, your build will be obsolete, but you'll be playing better, and can learn a different build (such as 2rax into expand).
I dont think you should expand and begin making siege tanks in a tvp
It is ok to expand but i would recommend u adding more barracks for units, ebay for upgrade and 1 turret(prevent DTs) instead of siege tanks. . Play more and you will improve. Just keep your money low!
