Anyone else uses alternate keyboard layouts like me instead of qwerty? I use Colemak personally, and loving the fact that I made the switch.

The two major alternate layouts I would say is DVORAK and Colemak. For those who only use QWERTY and don't know of the existence of these layouts, here are some links =)

Mainly the only rational reason to switch from QWERTY to any of these would be for comfort and ergonomics and all that stuff.

As for those who are already using one of these or any other alternative layout, share your experiences. Like me, ever since I switched and learned to touch type(never learned for QWERTY), I always find it a drag to use QWERTY on every other computer others than mine. Also so far I've only reached around 80-ish wpm on typing tests. Usually use the one here - http://www.hi-games.net . So far its the only one that I feel accurately shows wpm on average.

I only reached the highest 67 wpm using standard keyboard QWERTY.

119 WPM QWERTY. Never heard of DVORAK or Colemak, interesting indeed. I guess I was brought up with QWERTY as the standard, so I've always stuck to that. I mean, if you go to someone else's houses or a work place or any other temporary place - there will always be a QWERTY type keyboard, and if your use to your one back at home, your fucked.
