I think blacks are a little quieter though because you don't bottom out as hard with the higher resistance. You don't really need to press the keys all the way down, so that's what I find, at least.
Yeah that is the idea, but if he is concerned by the spring stiffness then he doesn't have much of an alternative. I personally like my blues haha.
Is where I got mine from for a checkered MKP style board.
How do you find the feel and ware of the ABS plastic keys compared to your other keycaps?
I have PBT keycaps on mine and they felt a bit "rougher" than the official majetouch keycaps at first, but after about a week they feel almost identical, the home key bumps sizes are about the only obvious thing I can feel when using it now.
I haven't had a problem with them. I was silly and didn't pay attention and got etched ones instead of printed which are hard to read so it looks like only my black keys are labelled in some light, but i basically touch type anyway so it doesn't really bother me.
anyone got a coolermaster cm storm quickfire? or heard any positive reviews on it?
seems to be one of the cheaper mechanical keyboard and it looks pretty decent.
just wondering if the company has got any dogdy rep or if there's a main reason for the keyboard being a bit cheaper.
Well when I was shopping for my mechanical keyboard the other forum users just told me to spend and not to be thrifty about it. Mainly because mechanical keyboards are meant to be very durable and to last for years, they said that spending the extra cash for the quality is a good investment.
In my opinion the most important thing you want to consider might be what kinda colour keys do you want to get for your keyboard, since different keys need different force to push the keys down and have a different springy feel. A very good guide is here:
Like if you don't want your fingers to hurt from extended gaming or typing sessions you might want to go for Red or Brown keys, since they require less force to push down. I feel they are "softer" on the fingers.
If you are a person with stronger hands and fingers and you want to feel the keystrokes better. Black or Blue keys might be more suitable for you.
Sometimes the weight of the keyboard might also be a factor. Like do you prefer a lighter keyboard so that its easier to carry around to LAN gaming sessions, or do you prefer a heavier metal reinforced keyboard so that it stays put on your desk as you are furiously typing?
Thanks man, the cm strom quick fire is a mechanical... just the cheapest one i could fine though so I don't really know what to make of that.
Cheers for the thread, looks like either brown or black I guess... I think i'll be fine with either.
Weight doesn't really bother me either, I guess heavier if anything haha.
But yeah I've been looking at the filco majestouch & coolermaster cm storm quickfire, just wanting any opinions on the coolermaster quickfire if anyone has used it or head anything bout it

I have tried the CM quickfire from the looks of it i believe it came from the same oem company as filco & leopold it's probably one of the cheapest because it's not a full sized keyboard. The quality imo feels the same as my leopold and my friends filco. My only dislike about the CMStorm Quickfire is to much branding on it lol
