My first 2 headsets were of the Gamecon Series. the only thing i didnt like about them was the Cord that spun up and tangled all the time. annoyed me alot. at the moment i have a Razer Carcharias and they are comfortable. unless you want to listen to dubstep really loud and start head banging they just fall off :P no pressure on the ears at all!

Would be interested in cheaper retailers if you can link them
The white ones from pccasegear.com are 109 they are reliable and deliver really fast I buy most stuff from there... Also I see you're from Melbourne and the store is located in Melbourne
shock spin has a clip on detachable omni direction mic, so its pretty different to the other two. just something to take note of, could be a positive or a negative for you.
At the moment I have wrapped a couple of strips of elastoplast around the section of the Plantronics 777 that snapped and it seems to be holding pretty well. It hadn't fully snapped all the way through and super glue didn't do the trick.
So it looks like it might last a bit longer. Will be keeping an eye out for the Siberia's on special too.
I have used clip on mic's before and they are just too fiddly. All in one units just make life a bit easier, quality may not be perfect but it is certainly passable.
Plantronics actually recommended the new 780 headset - but it is not available in Australia yet.
Beyer Dynamic DT190 They're the same Headphones but with a mic that i used for almost every studio when i studied audio production.
Just be wary of the input jack - may be a 1/4".
They're made for productions such as broadcasting and commentators. Not 'gaming' but theres really no such thing as a gaming headset.

DT190 sounds pretty amazing, but a bit over the price range I think the OP is looking at. Beyerdynamic are a fantastic brand though.
