Parox, dippa is just showing you his OPINION.. The event has a history as an internal Australian competition why would we open it up to Aus states and NZ, Thai etc etc?..
- EDIT: its like changing national traditions.. just to invite a country not involved in the tradition... Like saying the boxing day test - why don't we share that around and hold it in Bali.. -_-
Of course that is all well and good, but when I make a valid post without any knowledge of the history of the event with regards to esports, and then get a response like dippa's, with numerous profanities and basically him making veiled remarks to make me look like an idiot, I am bound to get pissed off, right? It is all fine when people are sharing their opinions civilly, but when someone instantly jumps on the hate bandwagon and flames the shit out someone else for their views, it goes beyond a joke.
As i said, I didnt realise that this tournament was a tradition in BW. Besides, we are past the days of BW, perhaps changes need to be made...
honestly paroxysm! i would tell you to quit while you are ahead but i fear you are past the point of no return.
first you pull this vomit inducing politically correct rhetoric in your first post which made everyone cringe. You then go on to pull the victim card and telling us you have a right to your opinion whilst totally missing dippas own right to call you out for being a tootsie pop. last but not least you make a complete fool of yourself by inadvertently falling on your own sword with this amazing line
"but when I make a valid post without any knowledge of the history of the event with regards to esports"
hubris and stupidity go a long way to pissing people off mate.
you have a right to an opinion but a smart person wont always utilise that right when he isnt well informed on a certain topic.

How about we drop it guys, and go back to the original point of the thread before Maynarde/nirvAnA drops the lockbox on us, hey?
Also, lay off Paro a bit. He didn't know about the history, and fair enough. I'm a die-hard alcoholic queensland supporter in the rugby state of origin, yet i'm not jumping on this hate train that seems to have started. Get back to the point, and keep people signing up.

Hello I'd like to add a Tasmanian team for the B-Team our line up hasn't been settled as of yet but will be updated shortly The Tasmanian E-Sports Society ( www.facebook.com/TasEsports ) is currently organising a team.
For anyone from Tasmania that is interested in joining the team feel free to PM me
Idk if anyone has come forward yet id be happy to captain/manage/play in the SA b team im about mid to high masters skill level i assume thats what you are looking for a few decent players in SA.
should make a rule that you should at least be informed about the topic at hand before suggesting that it be changed in some fashion (without providing any direction to said change).
with that all done and dusted, i'd be more than happy to donate and compete for a spot on NSW's B roster, although i highly suspect NSW will be so ridiculously stacked that i probably won't make it. gotta try though -_-;;
question: do people sign up for the state they were born in (the origin part of the name) or just wherever they're living at the time of the tournament?

Please dont try to take some moral high ground of "Atleast i respect others opinions" when you downvoted my reply to you with "not even remotely the same thing" when they are actually practically the exact idea you wanted.
SoO is where you represent your small part of australia in an australian wide competition
You wanted something where everyone from SEA could represent their region.
Nationwars lets all of SEA represent their small part of SEA in a SEA wide competition.

I'm pretty sure in BW it was just what state you were in at that time, but I think that was just because it was hard to fill numbers in certain areas and it just made it easier.
Otherwise I'll be trialing for SA B team. ^_^
