PiG's POV - Episode 2

http://www.twitch.tv/ttpig/b/299467637

There's the link guys!

Episode 2 of PiG's POV aired tonight have a watch if you missed it for analysis of ZvT and TvZ.

This weeks episode drew out FOREVER and I think after all my rambling I started repeating myself alot. So I've decided to reformat the show the new plan is looking like this:
  1. 6:00-6:15 Low level analysis (TGM) (well-prepared and concise)
  2. 6:15-6:20Map Analysis (well-prepared and concise)
  3. 6:20-6:45 Pro-replay Analysis (Freestyle)
  4. 6:45-6:50 Answering questions from stream-chat
  5. 6:50-6:55 Ad, giveaways and water break
  6. 6:55-7:20 Part 2 Pro-replay Analysis (Freestyle)
  7. 7.20-7.25 Answering questions from stream-chat
  8. 7.25-7.30 Finishing remarks

This is a rough guideline for the moment but spending minimal time on the very low-level advice which people can get from watching my coaching and focusing more on analysing a single pro replay I believe will make the experience both more coherent and digestable for my viewers.

So here's what I'm thinking guys let me know what you think!

1) With one pro replay as my focus I will be focusing on it in 2 sections. I am thinking of doing half analysing from one players view and the other half from the other players view so for instance in a particular ZvT between Nestea and MVP we will be looking first at the zerg side through Nestea's vision, build etc. and then through MVP's vision, build etc for the second half of the show.

2) The show's name is still up for grabs! PiG's POV is growing on me as a name a little bit but I've got some great suggestions in this thread:

http://www.sc2sea.com/showthread.php?p=44976#post44976

3)
  • I will be using a non-mechanical keybooard that isn't as noisy
  • Binding hotkeys to change 'scenes' so my transitions are smoother and I don't need to tab out to Xsplit constantly

Are these good ideas? Any concerns, tips or suggestions? Please post below!

Wow, all of this looks awesome.
I'm looking forward to the Map Analysis segment, haven't been able to find much to do with map analysis and I feel I could learn a lot from it.

good stuff.

So how long did this week's episode go for?

As for point 3, definitely hotkey the scene changes. It'll make everything much more professional. The mech-keyboard though, I say keep it. The clicking is fine.

Also, what I've watched so far was great.

thanks for advice, badass keyboard noise = bonus :D

I like this format ^.^ I think splitting the pro replay into two is a really good idea (:

Quick idea for the new format. You could in the low-level analysis go through a specific beginner concept each episode, or even every second episode. Basically manufacture a replay that shows a specific concept you want to 'teach' and just focus on that.

I really like the idea of a section devoted to map analysis.

I think you should have a title at the top left or top right to show what section you are currently on. That way viewers who just come in will be able to follow. For example if it is time for Pro replay analysis, have small letters at the top saying that. Just a little idea.

Good idea!

lol! Malik POV means Point-of-view and its meant to be referring to how I think about the game and break it down!

I am familiar with the genre of pornography shot from the Point-of-view of one of the sexual partners but that doesn't change the common understanding of the abbreviation POV! (I hope lol!)
