Hey guys earlier tonight I aired the first episode of 'PiG's Point-of-View' my replay analysis show (kinda day9 style) of both amateur and pro replays to help players and fans of any level understand the game better! As it was a trial-run I didn't advertise it too much and had to reschedule the first episode but was able to get up to around 75 live viewers at some points and about 300 viewers total and got some good feedback on what was good + where to improve.
The first episode ended up being accidentally all about PvZ and ZvP!
Luckily the pro-game I analyzed was a bloody exciting match between Moonglade and Korean progamer NShoSeo's Sage. Tune in for amusement and please leave any feedback you have or suggestions!
This was just a trial run but will be ongoing every Tuesday 6pm Sydney time (GMT+11).
Will post each episodes VoD here each week!
Great job, especially for the first episode.
Engaging, knowledgeable and entertaining.
The only thing that could possibly help you out would be a second monitor, so when you alt-tab (whether to check xsplit/skype) the viewers don't have an interrupted view. This is a very minor issue though.
Can't wait to see more, they'll make it into my Tuesday night schedule.
Really great for the whole community. As a lower league player, I found this extremely helpful and quite infromative. Really great for SEA to have this, SEA's very own Day9. PiG9? Looking forward to the next episode. I think I'll watch that one while eating a crap tonne of bacon.

Great stream PiG. You are quite the gentleman for putting up with our hat spam although I am slightly disappointed you have not used any of our fine MSpaint/Photoshops for your banner we worked extremely hard to capture the amazingness of the goodtime in chat combined with the sexualness of that hat.
wow, really exceeded my expectations (Australia doesnt really produce great shows eg. "Neighbours") !! Very clear presentation and an extremely cohesive show. Will definately tune in for future episodes.
I particularly enjoyed the following:
- Your engaging, natural and relaxed presentation. You said you wanted to go for a Day 9 style show and I think you succeeded! Loved the hat, and the peanut butter and pig puppet interruptions were funny. At the same time it was slick with very little down time "faffing", looking for replays or whatever. You had smooth transitions into follow up "scenes" which felt very thought out and professional.
- Most importantly, the content and explanations were excellent, interesting and very informative and seemed to access all skill levels.
- The prize draw is a super idea, esp for a pilot show like this one was. It is so great that the community and Nirvana in particular is so supportive.
- The timing of your show is too early for me because of timezone differences so having the VOD option is a brilliant idea.
- Excellent interaction with your audience with encouraging words in response to questions. This has been one of your strengths throughout all your coaching session streams and it is great to see this carry on into your show.
- I liked the background info you gave about the players you are casting. This kind of thing puts the player into perspective and makes you feel more engaged with the whole experience. What might be worth considering is casting a female player to see if they have a different style/ logic compared to males.
- Excellent approach to understanding the discussed match ups by first looking at PvZ and then the other way round for ZvP.
Possible areas to think about:
- 1hr 55min is really long (well for me anyway). I would try and reduce it by quite a bit, maybe to 1hr or so.
- Because of the nature of this show, which mainly focused on replay analysis, it ended up covering a whole wide range of topics - build orders, mechanics, scouting, proxy pylons, teching, unit choices, probe saturation, army engagements, etc. This is good because you are getting so much information in one go, but at the same time it might be better to think of a particular theme or set of themes to talk about (similar to Day 9 style). You apologized for doing only PvZ, but I think this ended up being an advantage because it put a lot of focus into your show as well - a common thread holding the entire thing together.
- If I had to choose, I think I preferred the analysis over the casting segment. That said, within the casting segment there was a lot of opinion anyway, so it was very enjoyable. Maybe doing casting and analysis back to back is a bit redundant and you could probably streamline this section a bit better.
