Hello Nard!

The EPIC competition dates have always been on the:
Preliminaries: 14th & 21st
Finals: On the 27th & 28th!

The changes that has been made is just that we are removing SC2 out of 27th so that we do not clash with SSL!! But in anycase, the Grand finals of EPIC will still be on the 28th!

As for the refund, I'll get back to you shortly on the matter =)

You are probably better off emailing them nard, i do believe that Rainex said that response times will be much faster through email channels.

Hi there,

I was wondering how the format for this EPIC SC2 will goes?
I heard only 32 players will be selected. Am i right? If yes, what happens to the other players who had paid and how will the priorities of choosing will be?

On top of that, there was no format on how the competition will begin with, etc Best of 3/5, maps. Only the time and place is being stated as far as i am concern.

I do see alot of sponsors in this event but unfortunately, a SC2 player need to fork out $20 for himself to join such an individual competition. In my past gaming experiences, $20 is way too many expensive espcially for students who want to take part in it. (Just my point of view espcially we are attracting the young teenagers)

Game Titles and Competition Format
DotA- 32 Teams, Group Stages/Double Elimination Format
Blackshot - 32 Teams, Group Stages/Double Elimination Format
StarCraft II - 32 Players, Group Stages/Double Elimination Format
Super Street Fighter IV - 64 Players, Double Elimination Format

In the group stages players will play B03 for 3 rounds and 1 winner will be selected out of the 4 in each group!

About the prize money, thanks for your feedback!!
It would be channel back to the committee to make EPIC better the next time round =)

Hello Nard!

We can only refund due to medical reasons such as if you can't attend the event due to hospitalization of due to any contagious illness that you have been infected with.

It is sad to know that you are unable to make it for the 28th but the 4 days were already stated as the dates where EPIC competition would be held on.

Still, I hold that you are able to attend the EPIC competition as we have an exciting line up of activities for each and everyone of you!

nonetheless... it was clearly stated beforehand that the final of sc2 will be held on 27th and not the 28th. i think i'll take this matter offline from here. not the place to discuss this

Thanks for the info.
But if more then 32 players sign up for SC2, how are the 32players gonna be selected?
Seems like some of us will go through the trouble and might end up not getting selected.

Well the slots is on a first come first serve basis! Once the 32 slots have been taken up already, we will not accept any more than that!

The closing of registration has been extended to 12th of November (Fri)!!

Walk in payment & registration is available on the 12th Nov @ Colosseum between 12pm to 6pm during the training/networking session!

**(Priority of the competitions slots will be given to teams/players that made payment first!)**

Competition slots are been taken up fast so sign up quick to avoid disappointment!

yeah but the practice of paying before registering online sort of makes ppl pay first before finding out if slots are full

Well to answer your query, you are online able to proceed with payment online if the slots are available!

Thus, the team/player that pays for their competition first would get their slots first!

Important EPIC events on the 12th & 13th!

Dear EPIC participants!
(*This does not apply to EPIC SSF4 participants)
Please take note that you are required to attend the following events below!

12th November, EPIC Training cum Social net working session (Recommended but not compulsory)
13th November, EPIC Briefing cum Draw Ceremony (Compulsory)

1) EPIC Training cum Social net working session! (Recommended but not compulsory)
Venue: Colosseum @ iluma 7th floor, BUGIS
Time: 11am to 5pm

Colosseum has offered to allow our EPIC champions to play at an EPIC discounted rate of $1/hr at the premises between 11am to 5pm!!!

We encourage you to take part so that you can:
- get a feel of the competition mood by playing @ the competition venue!
- make new friends and exchanges skills as we help you arrange matches with other EPIC participants!

EPIC Tees will be made available for collection on the day!
There are limited sizes at a first come first serve basis so come a down and get your EPIC Tees before your size is gone!

2) EPIC Briefing cum Draw Ceremony (Compulsory)
Venue: Colosseum @ iluma 7th floor, BUGIS
Time: 1030am to 1230

All EPIC participants are required to attend the briefing. Teams are required to send at least one representative (recommended to be team leader).

EPIC Champions must attend the briefing because!
- important information about EPIC will be disseminated
- Brackets of the EPIC competition will be drawn/released
