Hi there guys, xStar here. I'm new to the forums and was itching to find a place to post this question which has long been in the back of my mind.
So at the moment I'm a top 8 silver league player (around 3rd in SEA region) and on the way there, wall-in's have consistently given me trouble (I guess this applies mostly to ZvP, and to a lesser extent, ZvT).
I usually open with the standard (assuming no bunker/cannon rushes) 14P15H against P and 15H16P against T and macro macro macro, third around the 6-10 minute mark depending on the kind of aggression I feel. Against a turtling opponent, I guess around 7 minutes. I favour a ling/infestor kind of style, eventually transitioning into ultralisks. I do throw down a roach warren for defensive purposes, but I suppose I feel more comfortable with a speeding army over a slow roach army.
Around the 6-10 minute phase, I feel that some sort of aggression needs to be placed to get into the lead and not have the opponent spiral out of control and dominate me with a maxed army. So I'd poke in and see the usual gateway/forge/cybercore wall with the cannon behind and know that I can't break through that with lings.
Although I attempt to actively deny a third, if it happens to go up and they turtle hard, they'll come out with a 3/3 maxed army which, even if I had 3/3, usually crushes me. I suppose muta should be the most obvious choice, but with maps like Ohana where the travel distance between bases isn't that big, muta's are relatively easily denied, not to mention turrets/cannons which good players will always put up. Banelings are something that I'm not used to except in ZvZ. Pointers/tips?
I guess what I'm asking for is advice, or general strategies/pathways I should consider when vs-ing an opponent who walls in well and turtles hard.
Thank you in advance.

I thought you were zerg?
For proper help you have to post replays theres a thread just search for "replay feedback thread"
but in general as zerg you do not want to really be putting on pressure until you have your max drones (80 or whatever you want) and then at this point you can put on pressure. Throwing a tonne of infested terrans over a wall is an easy way to break it but the best way is broodlords because you can hit walls without any chance of them hitting you back.
Ahh okay, once I dig them up I'll go over there and post. I guess I was looking for a general kind of solution.
I think I should definitely practice using the infamous broodlord/infestor army, I just never feel this natural transition into broodlords whereas with ultra's its quite natural. But thank you for the input!
