Heya all,

Good to be back on SC2/Sea been away busy for a bit but now can get back into it. Just have a question regarding accounts. On my current SC2 account I played quite a bit of ladder etc for fun and got to silver on SEA and gold on NA etc. Nothing much but I had a good time.

I'm thinking of just forgetting that account and starting anew, but not sure if that's allowed/frowned upon. I guess its the OCD in me that wants to start again lol

I just wanted to ask before I did anything as I'd like to get involved in the tournaments/community again and didn't want to get off on the wrong foot.

I don't think its an issue, especially if you declare it like this and you do not go back playing on your old silver account to join tournaments.

In a week or two I'll pick up another copy of the game then and I'll try grab it from SC2SEA store to help you guys out.
So I can still muck around/practice on this old account as long as the account is known and I don't enter tournaments under it? And when I do decide to get back into tournaments I'll be using the current (new account).

As that is prob the main reason for me wanting a new acc, I hate the name I have. :O

aint no problem, probs handy to have ur sc2 account match or atleast be similar to ur sc2sea one to avoid confusion/smurfing issues but shouldnt be a problem since u made the thread!

Oh wow I just logged onto B.Net and since I've been gone they're allowing a name change (I had changed it when I first got the game). So at the moment I'm happy to just change my name and if I think I still want to get another acc I'll put it in my notes/somehow let this site know about it.

I'd suggest stick with the 1, you'll always be in the correct league according to your skill

Wasn't sure of my b.net code as haven't logged in, in a while so I checked my Blizz account page to get it and to change my name on SEA.

I'm def 100% going to change SEA name to Winter as well. But the above name is what it is at the moment. I'll be changing my SEA name to Winter tomorrow when I jump online to B.net.

I don't think people really care if your making a new account. I mean I mainly played on NA but now I'm playing on SEA I only ave 20 League wins. However I question the reasoning for this. Its like 60USD (I don't know AUS Conversion) to get a new copy. That is way to steep to "start fresh" just wait to the next season is what I advise.

If your struggling in ladder by constantly losing since you have been inactive then wait for the next season and do you placement match and get demoted. While you wait go do practice matches with some mates or clan mates ^_^

Yeah I doubt very much I'll be getting a new acc as I said above, the main reason was I hated my name and I also put that I'm changing that tomorrow. Having a new name pretty much is a new start.

And $60 isn't much at all for a game that I'd get endless play out of. It's prob worth more then $60 in my view and I'd pay more if it was more.

I believe there was a sale for SC2 on b.net but I may be wrong or was it only for certain regions?

Pretty sure that was only certain regions (They had SEA on special afaik)
