Hi guys, just asking a quick few very nooby questions concerning the SEACL.

As you may know I am the manager of Team Invision (a.k.a iVn) and we are just about finished formalizing our team (A and B team) and are hoping to enter the next SEACL season in [T4].

So here are my questions!

1. When does this current seasons of SEACL end? Or more accurately, when can we sign up for season 2?

2. Does a new team automatically get placed into tier 4? Or are there qualifiers prior to a new season

3. We will be fielding two different teams, A and B team, just wondering what the minimum number of players is for a team? We are hoping for about 8 players in our A team and our B team is pretty much set.


For the record I HAVE used to search function so if I have missed any blatantly obvious post regarded SEACL rules and regulations please forgive me for being so fail at search queries. Shoot me the link with the necessary information and feel free to close this thread

2. It depends on the skill level of your team and the admins' decisions.
3. The minimum is 5 players as you need 5 people to play each week, however your number would be advisable

And can't say on #1, an admin would have to say that ^^. Good Luck next season!

Thankyou very much, well for #2 we will probably be T4 and for #3 sick, we have more than enough for that. I guess we should just get more anyways so in case we have people that are unable to attend.

SEACL ends in a few weeks. We're a week or two past half way now. Considering Season 1 SEACL was ~July/August 2011, and this Season 2 has gone through January/February 2012, I would expect Season 3 will be quite a number of months away (Makes sense as it makes the tournament a larger deal).

1. SEACL season 2 will be finished end of march. I think a good target for season 3 would be June 2012, so sign-ups in may. Dates are not confirmed but i believe june will be a good timing.

2. It will depend on different factors: The strength of the team, the number of players registered, the number of teams in divisions,...

3. Minimum of players for a team is 5. However we recommend you at least get 7 players as it's difficult to get all your players available at once.

OK I have one more question.

In our A team we have 5 players, our B team we have 7.

Is it possible to bench players up from the B team into the A team? So say the 5 team players its Bo5, 2 players are of course left out, can we then make them play up in our A team as substitutes in case they are missing players?

I am basically saying, if our A team is short, move up B players who HAVE NOT played earlier on in that week OR WILL NOT play later on in that week (if the B team series is later). SO essentially, 2 players per week from the B team may be shuffled to play A team assuming 1 or 2 A team players cannot attend.

Is that at all ok? We won't be making A team players play down in B team btw as that is unfair. If this isn't clear just tell me. That is the scenario my team would prefer

I don't think that is allowed. The team roster is submitted before the season starts and those are the only players who you can use, unless of course you use a substitute to add a player to the roster.
