[Review] Tt eSports - Shock One Headset

Tt eSports!

Originally I planned to do an unboxing video I had wanted to capture all the excitement of a brand new piece of gear including the microphone I needed so desperately. The excitement was just far too great. When I returned home from picking up my precious parcel, I had to have it, there was no time to waste, no time to make a video.

So what makes the Tt Shock One Headset the right choice?

Packaging:

Click the image to open in full size.
Like all Tt eSports Peripherals the Shock One is packaged smartly in a red and black box. The box features a nice big picture of the headset on front along with a list of the features and more information is provided on the back of the box in several languages.

A nice added touch is the velvet bag which you can either transport your headset to LANs in or store the extra ear pieces in. Transporting your headset can sometimes be a scary experience if you are not equipped with a good sturdy gear bag such as the Tt Battle Dragon Bag so having a pouch to protect your prized possession does provide ease of mind when travelling between venues.

Comfort:

Click the image to open in full size.
The Tt Shock One is incredibly comfortable to wear. It is nice and firm on the head, yet doesn't squeeze too much so wearing it for long periods of time is not a problem at all. Not only does the Shock One have nice comfy padded ear pieces but there are two sets of interchangeable ear pads.

Storage:

Click the image to open in full size.
A unique feature of the Tt Shock One headset is the ability to easily fold it down when you wish to travel or store the headset. Unlike most headsets which take up space in your gear bag or can be fragile on transportation, the Shock One folds down to be easily stowed away.

Microphone:

Click the image to open in full size.
There is not much to say about the noise cancelling microphone, except that it is awesome. Not only does it fold away easily, the nice stable, strong design means no worrying about breakage. Usage of the microphone has proven it to be crystal clear and with the easy plug and play technology using your headset for the first time is as easy as a 6 pool!

Volume Adjustment and Cord:

Click the image to open in full size.
A three meter braided cord for maximum durability and plenty of room to move is topped off with a gold plated USB input. The volume adjustment is easy to use, with both a handy lock and mute function for both audio and your mic along with the option of a light as an added feature.

  • Virtual 5.1 Channel
  • 3 meter cable length
  • USB Connector
  • Plug&Play Microphone
  • Noise Cancelling Microphone
  • Other Features
  • - Innovative Noise Cancelling Microphone
  • - Enhanced Bass Performance
  • - Replaceable Ear Pads
  • - Gaming Application for Gamer
More Specifications!

Overall I give the headset a 9/10, a great option for gamers especially those who are inclined to travel often!

Thanks for the review and sorry for the late reply.

If anyone else is interested in doing an in-depth video and/or written review, it doesn't hurt to ask

I have a regular shock however recently the shielding in the connecting wires in the junction between the base of the headphones has come loose or the wire has been severed somehow, causing inconsistent audio. Sadly I didn't keep the receipt otherwise I'd go return it / get another (It was the best pair of headphones I've ever had before it happened)

You can still possibly return it.

Fill in the form: warranty.thermaltake.com.au and Jason from RMA will be in contact with you

Thanks, but on that page it states "Please send a copy of your invoice with the faulty parts. No invoice will cause the warranty to be rejected"

Good review, through did you buy these yourself, or did Ttesports give them to you for review?

Just put it in anyway and I'll tell Jason to look out for it.
Are there any ways you can provide proof of purchase?

Mine had the same problem as montycarlo, it stopped sending audio to one ear, and the other was really inconsistent (this was about a year ago). No chance I could send it back though, no receipt/too long ago etc.
Good sound while it worked though.
