by sc2 being too casual I think he means the whole idea of deathball slamming into deathball
He was the guy who wrote the breadth of gameplay thread on SC2 arguing for less income per base to make expanding more important and encourage more frequent but smaller scale battles
Not really possible with the game designed the way it is but the article actually was both well written and argued
I feel like his thoughts on D3 are extremely well written and structured but how he looks at SC2 makes me feel like he has been a bit ignorant towards sc2.
everything your friend says MUST BE perfectly reasonable, acceptable and logically structured with vast professional experience to back up his opinion.
I actually thought he meant that the campaign was too casual since it makes no sense otherwise.. But then Meatex pointed out he wrote that minerals/base article so surely he meant 1v1.
Anyway, to stay on topic, I read through his D3 comments, and just wondered - does Blizzard actually listen to these things? I really like some of what he said!
Well with Blizzard being Blizzard, I seriously doubt they listen to jack shit, nearly the whole SC2 community asked for a simple thing like LAN and we still did not get it T.T

When it comes to Blizzard feedback, I would kill to be a fly on the wall when it comes to how that is received internally.
Interestingly though, there was a pretty quick turnaround between Kripparian complaining about only three stats being searchable in the auction houses and Blizzard announcing that they will be increasing to six.
Can easily argue it was just coincidence, and it was likely already in the works, but interesting to see.
@Highlander, much of the response were pertaining to Auction House changes. I'd go as far as to say that it is a clever way to appease much of the population (or what's left of it). What people want to see is a substantial change to the way the game plays in terms of tackling the longevity of the game (aka end-game).
I've taken a while to read the whole D3 feedback thread. But like many other similar threads, there are points that we can easily agree with, and points that we don't. At least much of it was well presented.
Quite disappointed that he mentioned SC2 being "too casual" though.
All in all though, most people "burn out" from the game because there is on real longevity to the game. This game still has a long way to go from being great. Gosh, I miss the days when games were great straight out of the box and we didn't have to wait for patches or DLCs and what not to "fix" them.
