Hot on the heels of the Battle.net World Championships, Blizzard have released a Starcraft 2 custom map designed to test a variety of candidate balance changes. They also hinted that this would not be all of the changes, merely those that are currently ready for testing so stay tuned for updates to the map in the near future. The changes largely target other races units in an effort to alter their relationship with the infestor and the infestor/broodlord composition and can be found below:
Quote:
Fungal Growth no longer affects Psionic units.
By making Psionic units immune to Fungal Growth, Infestors will need to be better protected by supporting units and will become somewhat more vulnerable to High Templar and Ghosts.
Raven Seeker Missile no longer requires an upgrade.
We’ve been discussing the design of the Seeker Missile for a while, and want to see it reach its potential. However, we don’t want to go overboard with the Raven. This change, if we settle on it, is something that will promote slightly more Raven usage, but shouldn’t completely rework the Terran late game.
Bunker:
Unchanged.
The map is published on Battle.net under the name: Antiga Shipyard (1.5.3 Balance).
Raven change seems good, don't think it will make a huge difference though. The not affecting psi thing is dumb. Reason being there are too many units affected by this change, they will probably need to only have it affect "some" psi units. At which point the parameters of the spell just get too convoluted and it goes against their philosophy of everything being obvious for spectatorship/e-sports etc etc.
