Awesome shit Have you guys considered having these tournaments invite only, with the top x players with wt points as a bonus for players who consistently play/do well in your other wt weeklies?

Players are rewarded for playing in Weeklies through favourable seeding.
One of the big things I wanted in having a major event was to give another large scale tournament for SEA players to partake in but also provide another access to get international attention to SEA. It's tough balancing having everybody being able to partake and still having it open internationally but being strict on a 128 then bench I feel is the best middle ground.
If you really want to play in these, get in quick. Equally if you are eligable for a top 32 seed based off previous results and you sign up after 128 people have signed up, you will bump the 128th player into reserve.
At the end of the year there will be an invite only wT event which will be managed directly through points.
I'm always up for feedback and we will see how this one goes and make changes as necessary. I made a decision not to cap the tournament at 256 because it just adds another 30-60min to the tournament for what for the most part will just be filtering out the weaker players.
Cool, was just wondering if you thought about it, definitely like that they are seeded now. And i agree, 256 would be too many since your niche is a casual weekly tournament, not a massive 256 cut throat qual or something along those lines
I guess the potential concern is that the 128 slots could arugably be filled by a lot of BSGs if they were really quick given their is no league restriction alike MC. Especially when I put this on TL.
What are your thoughts on restricting Major signups to Masters unless your points in SEA Power Points/wT Player Points qualify you for a Top 32 slot?
In regards to Hyding Breed, we will be contributing a large sum of money towards each Major as our main source of community involvement within SEA. One of the reasons Reere and I started Hyding Breed was to be able to represent ourselves but also provide back to the SEA community where possible on a national and international level.

I think it depends what you want your event to be. Do you want it to be ultra competitive and try to draw a lot of international talent into the scene, or do you want to reward the players who have shown you loyalty already by competing in previous smaller wt weeklies, and have accumulated points and reward them for it by giving them guaranteed spots. If you want it to be ultra competitive with the better international players then limiting it masters+x amount of SEA/wt points is fine. I think having the Seeded people replace existing BSGPD players who have signed up combats this problem enough. Chances are a masters player isnt going to win or perhaps even come top 16, but if theres pretty good odds the top 32 wt points players will come top 32 or top 16 or top 8 in this event, so rewarding them with guaranteed spot if they wish to participate should be ok. As for the other players who miss out, just bad luck I guess and should have signed up sooner!
Big of a mistakey in the Map Pool (Entombed labelled as Cloud Kingdom!)
Looks awesome though, am free to admin as you know! Glhf everyone!
Silly me! I'll change it when I get home. When i had to change the width to fit TL requirements I had to resize all the text and forgot to change that one!

I really like your points it rests my heart at ease haha. It's true if we stick to a 128 it creates an urgency when each signup is announced. I guess my major concern was if I open it up to TL all the slots may be filled in a few hours haha! But at least in offering guarenteed places if you are within top 32 seeds any of the other people who sign up be they NA or SEA will not matter as much.
Let's see how this first one runs and then we can make an educated decision moving forward!
Just curious on the seeding part; As the 32 seeds prioritise SEA Power Points over wT Player Points, won't that make wT Player Points worthless in a few months once at least 32 of the singups will have acquired SEA Power Points?

You could look at it that way but note that not always will 32 people who have SEA Power Points signup for any given event and even if they do, at the end of the year there will be an invite only top x tournament for the highest x players with wT Player Points so it will always account for something.
If you're interested in attracting international players, i'd suggest hosting it on NA server, as most people wont have access to SEA accounts or the latency might not be great.
So to make sure anyone can join but seeds just get an easier start in the bracket?
Anybody can join at the moment at least for the first one we will see how it goes. Yes seeded people who have played in previous weeklies and majors will get priority placing when signing up and when seeds are generated.

If I host it on NA I feel like it will fill up very quickly with non top tier players and doesn't really support trying to make a major event for SEA.
I think wT Major is like designed to be a major tournament for the best of SEA to fight it out and if any international players decide to play such as majOr then it's a bonus.
