It doesn't matter if the match wasn't fixed or if it isn't even true that they colluded to share the prize pool. Any collusion that seeks to make the game anything other than two teams playing at their absolute best with resolve to win delegitimises the game and robs the fans of what they came to see. It is as much a contrivance as a fixed outcome or scripted game.
I am in no way defending what they did, but the ARAM game is a grey area to the majority of fans who follow LoL,
the best "kind of" example I could give in sc2 would be something like playing offrace, or never going to hive/T3 on purpose or along those lines, the ARAM game itself was actually enjoyable to watch to most people
I just wonder how MLG found out the teams had apparently talked to each other to share the prize pool. In terms of the dq I don't really care, dumb thing to do imo, why the **** wouldn't you want more money anyway? I understand not showing your best strats and doing normal meta game things, but surely you would still want the WIN.
The other issue is how do you prove they aren't "trying". The team can just say "yeh we fucked up on the day bl to us" and no one can really prove otherwise. Massive grey areas but over all probably right thing by MLG, assuming they haven't banned them from other events? If so then I think that is too much
