Petraeus kicked off his ESWC dreams as he headed with manager Nicolas ‘fray`Chadmann’ Russo to Paris, France for the world finals in early November.
His group was announced as Czech player freizy, Swede SortOf and Evil Geniuses French pick up, defending champion Stephano. While he beat freizy and took the first game in the best of three series versus SortOf, he eventually fell 2-1 to the Swede from Western Wolves. Next he was up against the French hero and defending champion himself. He went 0-2 versus Stephano but managed to gain valuable tournament experience playing against one of the best non-Korean pro-players in the world.
He didn’t manage to make it out of the groups unfortunately, with Stephano eventually going on to take third, Korean Terran and Millenium player ForGG coming second and Polish Mousesports Protoss player MaNa claimed victory at ESWC and the $20,000 first place prize.
Fresh back from France Petraeus takes time to fill us in on his time ESWC and what he has taken from such a huge experience.
