[sc2sea]AsylumofSouls joins the airforce. BSG needs help!
The time is unfortunately upon us, AsylumofSouls has announced his retirement from running the BSG Opens. After going undercover serving the swarm, he decided to turn into a real life banshee in the Royal Air Force. This means he will not have the time to commit anymore.
After running
over sixty tournaments
for the SEA BSG community
he will be retiring from admin duties this Saturday. Thinking about that number, it is like running the BSG every single week for over a year. Adam has helped build the BSG community on SC2SEA into a bustling and vibrant one, and I am sure many of us are extremely thankful his contribution to the scene. Lets give him a rousing farewell!!
He will still be around, but just not in as active capacity. Wishing you all the best in your new phase of life in the air-force Adam!
----
His departure means that there are now big shoes to be filled in our tournament admin roster.
Asrathiel is a brillant admin but she has a lot on her plate too and is looking for a co-admin to help her out. Running the BSG is no easy task, in fact we had to pull the BSG off SC2SEA a while back because there was a lack of reliable and capable admins to run it after Zergtastic and BakaInu stepped down. That was until Adam came in of course, and later Asrathiel!
If you guys want the BSG to keep running, please do volunteer to help out. The more people who do, the easier it is for everyone. There are a bunch of benefits that tournament admins have. For e.g early access to D3 and HoTS betas, avatars, recognition etc. But the biggest reason why you should be applying is for the satisfaction of helping to grow the community and eSports in our region. There is no better time to get started than now!
Applicants please PM Asrathiel with the following info:
Name
Amount of hours you would feel comfortable dedicating each week
Age/Location/B.net Nick
Contact Information (AIM, MSN, or IRC)
Relative Experience and why should we pick you?
Please note that your application is also a representation of your commitment as a potential staff member on the site. If you submit short one word answers it wouldn't give us the impression you would do your staff duties with much effort too, but at the same time its best to be clear and concise with your application and not give overly long answers.
Good luck Suipr for the Air Force^_^
You've been admining for so long, and doing such a fine job
Still can't believe that you adminned over 60 tournaments
Thanks for all the effort Suipr! Without you and Asrath I have no idea what I would do with my Saturday nights (have a life or something). You have big shoes to fill, that is for sure.
And so, the Era of the AsylumofSouls came to an end. A mighty man whose successor will have the enormous task of recreating.
Thank you for all that you have done for the BSG community and the community as a whole. I remember this all started with z33k and went on to become one of the most anticipated events of the weekend for this Panda.
Good luck and

Proud to be Nunquam redono, nunquam deditionem
Adam finally things are taking flight man, best of luck buddy ^^ keep in touch and make sure that the ToR crew are always up to date with your adventures
Suipr is going to be hard to replace, but I am really happy to see his career take off.... Err yeah fine ill leave take off there...
Anyway anyone who is thinking should think very hard, its a big commitment. Its a great chance to become a hero of SC2SEA, but its a lot of work.
BSG is so important, its where most new players end up (and is more true now that we are years into SC2) and so will be many players introduction to this community.
I've always enjoyed and still miss the times I use to join the BSG weekly. When one thinks of the BSG weekly, one thinks of Suipr and Asrathiel. So yeah, will miss Suipr
All the best in your career

"and we'll invest more on Bots, as our first Trial bot, the 'NemBotElie' was a huge success, organising tournaments and being part of the Council of mGG. But there are a few bugs in which the bot cannot go past the skill level of a Platinum Protoss." - PaRAnorMaL
i might be thinking of co-admin :P what are some of the stuff that the co-admin will have to do? all i can think about right now is making the thread and making sure everything goes smooth during the tournament
