I've not made a thread in a while so I decided to do so today!
What's up with everyone!
I have no idea who still plays or how active the community is. But I watched a few VODs the other day and SC2 seemed fun again. Will play LOTV for a bit!
Anyway who would you guys say are the top 10 players in SEA now? (i.e of SEA origin.)
Well PiG and iaguz are our most recent WCS premier representatives, with EnDerr and KingKong in challenger.
There's also OSC rankings, where players earn points for placing in all our tournaments, and bonuses if they defeat higher ranked opponents. Balances activity, and placing well in the bigger $ tournaments.
EnDerr
PSiArc
iaguz
DemiLove
PiG
Azure
Wally
Law
Frustration
KingkOng
Keeping in mind PiG has been busy with WCS, and KingkOng has been busy and had some personal things going on lately, so has only played 2 tournaments this year.
Then there's a heap of guys chasing/close to (NXZ, Alopex, StriKE + co.), and some who are down on tournament output, but still very talented players, eg Blysk, RivaL, Lobo, Probe, etc.
Players in the top 10 category would definitely be the players nxz just mentioned, although the order is debatable and arguable. Also Pezz, Crimson and Azure deserve a mention as well.

I agree to what NXZ says but I think when/if Petreaues returns to the SEA regions, he'll be no.1.
Also KingKong 2nd? I think Iaguz could match him and possibly take 2nd place.
Well i'm going to have a crack at this. Players not listed in any particular order of skill. This is just my idea of who they are
Pig
Petraeus
Iaguz
Enderr
demilove
King Kong
Blysk
Psiarc
alopex
NXZ
frust should be in there somewhere as well between alopex and NXZ, basically i think those three are tied in my books but i dont want to be playing favourites with my own team :P Placing NXZ in there over frust since he did win the show match
mostly cause he hasn't been an active player really since he went to kr to commentate.
I mean, if he played any tournaments you could still put him there, but he hasn't, so...

Agreed

I used WCS results, kingkong beat iaguz and came 2nd. This isn't my opinion, it's just what happened.

Since they aren't ordered in any particular order of skill, this next comment doesn't make sense.

Glade is probably around the higher end of the 5-10 range (closer to 5 then 10) these days.
Glade has hinted at practising for GSL on a few occasions. He played in WCS Season 2 but didn't make it to top 16. I think a mix of latency/ping from Korea and a lack of major practice in the last few months contributed heavily to that result. If he does end up practicing for GSL I think he will be a serious contender in WCS Season 3.
