Hey guys/gals, I'm looking for some pointers on improving my mechanics. I'm a gold league T on NA and i feel like my mechanical understanding of the game is poor. My TvT feels ok and my TvZ has been pretty good lately, my toss tho has slipped some. I think that macro is the porblem but i don't know what/how to improve that.
Also should i try some builds, or just stick with standard marine tank and play reactive?

Hi Resin i have just watched your replays. and ill give you a little write up on my opinion to hopefully give you a hand.
Antiga Shipyard:
i feel here, you needed to be far more aggressive, what i try to do with the onerax expand is after the CC goes down. i get 2 more barracks and a reactor on the origional and when they finish i like to get two techlabs and begin on maurader production. and iget the upgrade of combat sheild and the maurader slow then after the 2 mauraders finish i give constant production and rally them to my push point and push on his base (depending on what i scouted ofc) what i noticed is you went straight into turtle mode and if you pushed when 2 mauraders were out with slow then you probally could of had the win. cause he was very greedy with his army size. just make sure you scout then rescout at about 6 - 8 mins to see what he is doing, another thing. going ghosts that early is not nessesary. i usually start to go when i scout the templar archives to epm/snipe high templars. if you go into maurader production much sooner and wait on the ghosts it should of also improved this game.
Antiga shipyard (4):
your 2 rax opening was reasonably nice, i felt watching this replay though, you waited too long on stim and combat shield, and you should always go weapon level 1 before armor as terran. due to the weapon can be stimmed and give you more effective damage, your follow up from the 2 rax was ok for your level. i would just work on making sure you dont forget your upgrades ect with the 2 factorys early it made it hard.
Xelnaga Caverns:
for this, watching it. i felt your expo was very very late and you upgraded your mauraders even though he wasnt really meching hard. i would of probally left that upgrade but its not that big of a deal. other then that you applied nice pressure to your opponant and got the win.
TvP Build: a link to a game against MKP vs WhiteRA
where MKP goes for a 2 rax open pressure. or the onerax build is good. but i like going into 3 rax after the command center and have the 3 barracks one with reactor 2 with techlabs then push on your first 2 mauraders (with the concusion shell)
TvZ: I quite like the 5 marine 1 helion push to start.
you basically go (12) rax (13) refinery then from your original rax keep building marines. when you have enough gas build a factory. from that build one helion. (you should have 5 marines) then push on the zerg. from there you expand then go into standard marine st play.
TvT: a good build i love to use is thorzains tvt build found here
now ofcourse there are lots of different builds and different reactions you need to each situation. but hopefully i have helped in someway. if not. ah well
