It's been awhile since the last time anything was organised for SC2SEA and in the light of a successful 2014 World Cup, I figured that there may be some interest in getting a season organised for those followers of the British Premier League this season.
The steps for signing up are relatively simply. Just follow the instructions on the link above in order to create an account.
Once you have signed up, click on the "Leagues" option upon the main banner and it will take you into an interface that looks something along these lines:
Hit the join league option and enter the following code and you're as good as entered for this season
With the way that the transfer market has been shaping up over the last few months or so, it looks like we are in for one hell of a season with the title contenders really shaping up their squads (Man United included) and the middle - lower tiers making some choice signings in anticipation for this season - it is highly likely we will be seeing some upsets and new teams taking flight this season!
Best of luck to anyone that participates - if you know anyone else in your clans/teams, be sure to let them know so we can increase the competition for this season! Also, feel free to post your predictions for this season below, I for one feel that the following could be likely hinging upon this seasons transfers + rumours!
1.) Manchester United
2.) Chelsea
3.) Manchester City
4.) Arsenal (Of course )
5.) Liverpool
6.) Tottenham
7.) Newcastle
8.) Everton
9.) West Ham
10.) Southampton
11.) West Brom
12.) Swansea
13.) Stoke
14.) QPR
15.) Aston Villa
16.) Leister
17.) Sunderland
18.) Hull
19.) Crystal Palace
20.) Burnley
Yes yes this is a heavily biased post , but if United do get Vidal and Di Maria that is basically the Premier League won for us + there is Van Gaal Glory Glory Man United!
These friendlies so far have been providing interesting... Who would have thought that United would smash LA Galaxy 7-0.
Keep signing em up all, we've 6 players already signed up for this season, it would be great to see more avid football supporters sign up for this season's competition!
More like, who'd have thought Sydney FC would beat a premier league team... nice league you're a fan of Nick.
I was there for that game, West Ham was playing some shocking football... plus that third goal should have been disallowed considering that it was a punch in!

Who would have thought you'd get free goals vs Man Utd if you just shoot from inside your own half?
Can't see anyone stopping Chelsea except Man City.
Diego Costa, Fabregas, Filipe Luis, and even Drogba all good ins and make that Chelsea squad very scary.
Mate.... this!
They have made some really solid buys for this coming season that's for sure. I mean last game Costa played a huge role in setting up Chelsea's goals vs Vitesse.
Plus with the combination of either Courtois and Cech in goal, that makes for a solid backline not to be messed with.
However, I do think there is some hope for this season that it will not be a one horse race type of deal. Van Gaal is really tactically sound. Pellegrini has some amazing depth at his disposal and same could be said for the likes of Brendan Rodgers, despite being the scouse scum us Red Devils hate

Yeah I don't think we're going to see the Diego Costa from the World Cup, we're going to see the beast that destroyed La Liga last season. He looked very good against Vitesse as did Fabregas with that wonderful free kick. Courtois is probably going to be, if not already is, the best keeper in the world. Very good squad.
In saying this Arsenal have made some good buys and look pretty good and Liverpool despite losing Suarez still look to have a squad more than capable of challenging, although I feel they'll need more goals out of Sterling and Coutinho to cover the Suarez loss.
Man City obviously have a great side and will challenge and Man Utd still have the players to do well if everything can get organised. I don't really like their central defence though. Jones is solid but Evans is pretty crap haha.
Will be a very interesting season anyway none the less, can't wait !
So glad transfers are free until the season starts because I've made so many changes...

A side note from the BPL, but in spite of the recent loss to the LA Galaxy all stars... Bayern munich are actually pretty scary this season considering that Lewandowski has basically scored in every pre season game since leaving Dortmund O.o
Are we going to see the true Bayern attacking style of play come back this season in the Champions league?
Depends if Guardiola actually wants to evolve as a coach ever and stops prioritising possession for the sole sake of possession instead of actually winning games.

In spite of recent loss to MLS all stars? Did you watch it? There is no comparison between that game and a Bundesliga game, let alone a Champions League game. 4 teams played in that game (what was it, 20 substitutions total? 21?)
Lewandowski is very good, but every pre-season game since leaving Dortmund however has been minus 8 regular starters due to World Cup recovery time + injury recovery, against many teams experimenting with the depth of their own team sheets. Mandzukic was also very good. Lewandowski might be a slight boost to the team, but I don't think they are any scarier just for him being there.
The big change comes around the departure of Kroos, and we'll see how Thiago (aka Pep's favourite son) goes in a presumably bigger role. Expected to see another signing this season and we still might.
Haven't seen what teams played, but idk, I'm discounting most of these preseason results as true indicators. Most of the ones I've seen were basically just testing out depth.
Welp, that wasn't exactly the ideal start to the season.
I can honestly see that there will be a fair bit of panic buying happening as a result of this move, I can see Utd making a bid for Blind/Either Depay or Di Maria.
Also, this weekend proved to be another interesting one for Football, Courtois really putting in a solid display against Leicester, Costa on target yet again and Arsenal looking a shadow of how they kicked off last season!
I cannot wait for tomorrow's games and that of City vs Liverpool on Tuesday, I can't wait to see scousehampton take a thrashing
I'm pretty excited. We're signing a lot of really strong talent. I think it might be a while to get used to LvG's system + new players and getting that intra-team chemistry going but we should definitely be getting champs league this year
Also Leicester City nabbing Tom Lawrence for £1m... Crazy good, he looks pretty talented and could prove to be an excellent signing for them. They're also rumoured to be looking at Powell from United as well for a loan deal
