I haven't updated in awhile but I'm looking to do it again soon once I get a new microphone. I cast NA and SEA server games and I'm also a caster for gosugamers.net
The SEA server games are some of the first games I casted, I casted the Qualifier E and F semis and grand finals for the Pinoy Starcraft tournament.

Had a quick look at your youtube channel and I can see zero SEA games. Care to point me in the right direction or are you just that desperate to plug?
Hi all, I post HD casts and walk-throughs for the everyday gamer by the everyday gamer. You can get all my links from my website http://siliconsports.net. I recently did a few cast for the FaDe Monthly and a few previous BSG tournaments.
Also will be casting my laddering from bronze to whatever on livestream.
I usually cast tourneys or replays coming from the Philippines but i wanna try to change it up soon!
- Made some Vods for the PH v SG, TH, IN from Nation Wars Season 1
- I've been hosting Quickie Tourney Series to keep the competition up in the PH community.
- Casted the latest Nation Friendly Showmatch between Philippines and Singapore with mezza.
I still suck and I do need some constructive criticism from you guys.
Well I am considering starting up a weekly exhibition series. With maybe a few master players or something like that.
It will be a best of 5 and I will hold them probably on a Friday each week. I have quite a few high level friends who are usually Willing to play and yeah.
If you guys are interested ill be hosting and EVENTUAAAALLY (heres hoping I find some casting software =/) be casting the game series and yeah stayed tuned, Ill keep you all posted
I was wondering guys what program do you use to cast your games and replays and that? I have a screen capture thing but i dont know if its any good =/
Right now all the rage is using Fraps and Sony Vegas (Adobe Primere Pro or Windows Movie Maker) but I'm thinking about trying out Camtasia and seeing how that will work. This way is a bit harder because it requires a lot of tweaking of settings.
If you are a REAL baller, you can stream at a 1500 kbps bitrate at the HD 720p resolution and take the FLV file from your stream (on Ustream, Jtv, etc.) and try and upload that. You'll need a high upload rate for that kind of thing though, this way is much much easier but it's too reliant on having godly streaming capability
Edit:
I added on to what is easier and what is harder

Yeah like geno said FRAPS for offline casting is the most popular, but be aware you will have to do comressing and encoding and I hear it eats a lot of system resources.
For live streaming I have found the best app out there to be XSplit
There is a pro level adobe one (forgot the name) if you happen to have a capture card (most do not)
For streaming go xsplit a shot, it really is rediculously easy but be aware you'll need very good connection to get good quality
Also I believe xsplit can be set to record files locally ?? haven't looked into though.
anyone one need a tutorial I'll wip one up - just ask - but its pretty simple. ^^
Fraps, VirtualDub and Audacity (if extra audio is needed)
Fraps is pretty cheap though and well worth the expense if you are going to record locally. It does chew up disk space quite a bit so make sure you have a spare terabyte to capture the fraps avi files. Its roughly 4 GB per 90 seconds of recording.
VirtualDub is free and pretty easy to join all the files and then encode in a compressed format. I use the DivX codec to compress my clips.
I will be looking at Premiere Pro in the future because I want to add a few more dynamic elements to my clips. But it is quite costly. Vegas could be a good alternative option.
For streaming, check out livestream.com, ustream.com and justin.tv. One may be better in terms of quality depending on your location and upload speeds.
Thanks dude, wait I didnt knnow the Sony vegas did screen capture???
And fraps isnt freeware so Im sure thats out atm im using camstudio but thanks anyway mate
Fraps captures your screen while Sony Vegas/Adobe Premiere Pro/etc. all compress it to Youtube HD so it's easier.
For streaming, Livestream seems to be the easiest (haven't gotten around to Xsplit) while the others do require the Adobe Flash Media Encoder and a program like VHrScreenCap to capture the screen
Taking constructive criticism and feedback on what you guys want to see. If the channel takes off and you guys want more content produced I will set up an email address to accept replays.
I am also working on having the right to cast via a high quality dedicated stream service, more on that if and when things proceed.
Please leave your comments here or PM me, I will endeavor to check both sources.
Streamers not listed can submit your streams now by posting here!
Streamers with no race next to their name should post in this thread as well and we will update it.
Awesome work Nirvana, as an idea, possibly having a 4th race icon for Casters, to distuingish thos who are streaming their ladder/custom games vs those that cast events?
