Hey all, it's safe to say we got a bit keen with the patch and hoped to make something happen asap for SEA community benefit but the timing & date & the amount of effort we require to run the event means it won't have the effect we wanted it to.
Postponed until early 2013 It'll be much more accessible then, enjoy your Christmas & New Year everybody!
When: Friday, 14th of December - 11:30am GMT+11 (That's Sydney time, top right middle flag/time). Check-in (known on Binarybeast as a Confirmation) begins 30 minutes prior. Where: HotS Beta, "APL" channel. Why: First place: $75, Second: $25 (*) How: To register, you must have an sc2sea account and be a Masters or above player in WoL.
Step 1 - Join the tournament at http://binarybeast.com/xSC21212062 using password: aplsc2sea
Step 2 - Post in this thread with the name you signed up with, unaccounted-for names will be removed from the bracket come the day of the tournament.
You will report all match scores on BinaryBeast and it will handle the brackets automagically, but if you need admin assistance...
Who: APL team consisting of everNExt and everRampager will admin, cast and stream.
Map pool: Akilon Wastes + Current ladder maps. First map will be pre-determined, Bo3 & Bo5's loser picks next map.
Friday? Only time available to us before the new year, sorry! Why do I need an sc2sea account and post to play? It's a very low barrier of entry, once you have an account - posting is easy! There's a great community here for SEA players, enjoy it (and if you aren't a SEA player, don't register for the tournament! US/EU will be flooded soon, shoo! ) Why HotS? Let's be honest, those new patch changes make things very interesting again. Hopefully by having incentive and starting early the SEA scene can be more comfortable come HotS release. Seeding? Random for now. Best of... Ro128 -> Ro32 - Bo1, Ro16 -> Ro4 - Bo3, Finals - Bo5. Will there be more HotS beta tournaments? After the new year, absolutely. Don't have a HotS beta key?: Preordering HotS gets you beta access, get on it.

Why masters only and during the day?
Most people I assume would be at work and unable to compete.
Only time available to us before the new year unfortunately. After the new year, we plan to host another couple of Beta tournaments at normal times. This is just to test the waters
If you can play in it - great! If you can't, hopefully you tune in or catch the VoDs after.
Why Masters? Well to be blunt, we expect a certain level of mechanics/skill going into this, and that's all there is to it.
signed up! as RegiuS not sure how tochange my name on sc2sea to my sc2 name lol
There's an sc2sea name change request thread here but don't worry, the two names don't have to match (Also, I don't see you on the registered players list, make sure you click "Join this tournament" on the binarybeasat tournament page!)
Re: elimzkE: And the timing ain't great Thanks though!
For those of you who aren't masters+ and are wanting to play a HOTS tourney (just for kicks, not for money) I'm currently in the process of setting something up as a fortnightly tourney. Stay tuned

binary says u don't have permission to view d tournament oO
Probably cause the tournament was deleted or something for reasons stated in the post directly above yours and in the OP. Just keep an eye on the thread I'm sure there'll be more details next year.
