Just doing some theory craft while at work... Does any one know if you have infestors and vipers on the same group hotkey and rebind fungal and blinding cloud to the same hotkey, would they cast simultaneously?

Pretty sure it wont dude, spellcasters are prioritized one over the other in a control group. You'd have to hit tab to switch between them to cast.
Hey man, cheers for the reply. You back to masters yet?
I'm trying to get better at spells so that I don't avoid a superior army composition due to fearing thumble fingers.
Fungal + cloud seems like a pretty good way to supplement a roach hydra corruptor army vs stalker voidray collusus, which I've been having a bit of trouble with.
Yeah I'm pretty sure what Lando said is correct. It's best to just try and put each important spell caster on a different hotkey then your main army. My fingers stuff up at times also but it only takes practice
Also just some advice. Roach/hydra/corruptor/infestors/viper sound ridiculously gas expensive. Pure roach/hydra/viper timing can deal with stalker/voidray/ collosus much easier and will hit the protoss alot quicker. Just remember to trade units with the voids (if they're massing voids) before they hit more then 8 or try and bait and set up a good engage so you can abduct and snipe all the collosus (if more collosus heavy) before they do any significant damage to your army. The stalkers and left over army will just melt then, also you could use any left over viper energy for a binding cloud to add insult
There's afew videos/guides out there (yotube, TL, google, replays) showing how to do the roach/hydra/viper timing vsing protoss
Feel free to contact me in game or shot me a pm if you need more help.
It won't work (see Tank + viking mode switches being on the same hotkeys)... afaik stim is the only ability in the game that can be cast from a non primary selected unit.
Thanks for the help, guys. I'll try roach/hydra/viper. I just really like infestors vs voidrays and the cloud/fungal combo seems awesome in theory.
They should make the "scan move" hotkey independent of attack move then so you could rebind the main spell (fungal) to the same key you're resting on for issuing attack commands!
I use 1-4 as army btw. 1 is main a-move force, 2 mutas or SH, 3 caster 1 and 4 caster 2. I just thought simultaneous cast would be interesting...

I can see this theory working very late game, sounds like too much gas for a 3 base. Iuno I dun play zerg.
I wouldn't do that.. .usually the compo is - roach/hydra/viper or swarm host/corruptor/viper or hydra ling viper.. never seen infestor/viper before but i guess if you're quick enough to learn and use more than 3 hotkeys while attacking, then you could use hydra/broodlord/viper/corruptor/infestor.. in that case, id put viper on the same hotkey as hydra coz viper would be abducting units to hydra and hydras dont have any active spells, just the attack.
damn ! If it was possible to use 2 kinds of spells at the same time (imagining Marine marauder got fungaled and Blinding cloud at the same time)... Terran is screwed

I've seen this in ultra late game stuff. I cant tell whether its simply because the vipers were left alive after a transition into infestor ultra or whether it was specifically desired to have both. AFAIK it was used to blinding cloud the stalkers while voids were hit with fungal so they could be hit by the hydras. There were only a few collos out at the time, which might have been important. Was an NA pro of some description laddering.
