Meet the Team Members
Mark "Voices" Macgowan (Terran, 27 years old )
Perpetually at the top of all SEA server rankings - both ladder and Top 200 lists - Mark, better known as TAVoices, is an integral part of the team and coaching staff both in and outside of the game. As a person he is friendly, approachable and with a sense of humour but as a player he is a cold, calculating macro machine. He grinds his opponents down with intelligent, adaptive play and relentless pressure. If you are an up-and-coming Terran player who wants to beat down their opponent with multi-pronged attacks and unrelenting macro then Voices is your ideal candidate for coaching.
Notable Achievements

----------
Johno "pinder" Pinder ( Protoss, 21 years old )
Pinder is not only a top notch player but also has experience as a commentator and caster, bringing his personality as well as his doubtless StarCraft talent. With a history in StarCraft: Brood War, Pinder got off to a strong start in the SC2 scene and challenged for best Australian player during beta. This early success had an impact on his current career as he now captains the SC2 team of sponsored organisation ArchaicMSi. With great mechanics, a friendly personality, dedication and RTS knowledge pinder is the perfect choice for aspiring Protoss players looking to take their game to the next level.
Notable Achievements
2nd place, TransTasman Championship #1 ($175 event), Winner Cydus LAN ($750 event), 3rd place SCA Open ($900 event), Winner KOTH Australasia ($50), Winner SEA Weekly ($50), Winner SEA Community Open ($10)
----------
Daniel "deth" Haynes( Terran/Zerg, 17 years old )
Deth is notorious as a multi-talented player with a great RTS mind and mechanics to back it up. He has mastered two races at the highest level on SEA - Terran and Zerg - and is not pushover with Protoss either. Being a pupil under deth means thorough analysis of all matchups from several perspectives as well as comprehensive knowledge of most modern build orders. He is also one of the more accomplished players on the SEA server taking out various events and featuring in a good deal more on NA. Videos on YouTube prove he can compete even with the best in America as they show games of deth taking down players the calibre of Artosis and ROOT's CatZ.
Notable Achievements
Winner Xin-Gaming Cydus LAN #1 ($1500 event), 2nd place Cydus LAN ($750 event), Winner SCS #1, #3, #5 ($50 events)
------------
Our goal is to share StarCraft II knowledge with fans and competitive players alike in an approachable and easy-going, yet still decidedly professional, environment for a reasonable price. What we can guarantee is a wealth of resources that will help you improve as a player and have a great time doing it. This isn't intended as a money-making scheme to fully support players or sponsor the team, it is an initiative to provide the community with what they may want, while supporting the clan and community as well as hopefully making some pocket money on the side. A percentage of each hour of coaching scheduled goes back in to TA events such as tournaments or invitationals that may go back to the community.
In addition to the coaching provided, pupils will have access to a lot of periodical bonus material. This will vary from replay packs, VODs, instructional videos, replay analysis and any other perks that come to mind. This all contributes to the quality and value for money we pride ourselves on as part of TA Coaching.
Good to hear Remember we're just starting out and we're very open to helping improve your experience so if you have feedback or suggestions PM me or post in a thread!
Just started with TAVoices and i cant even start to explain how much it has helped. I was silver vsing bronze and silver now im getting queued up against gold and plat players and winning! Def the best way to improve quickly.
So for those who don't know me, I play under TAms on SEA, AMS on NA and Pinder on Korea, I play for both terror australis as a community team and represent archaicMSi esports, for the last month ive been in Colorado, US, training to be a ski instructor and I'll be back in Australia on Tuesday finally playing sc2 again!
( This also means I'll be available as a coach again, now with legitimate training behind how to instruct people from my ski instructors course, you can read more about that at http://terroraustralis.webs.com - under TA coaching tab on the left, or simply PM me here)
More importantly tho, I'll be starting a weekly show similar to the day9daileys, however rather than live streamed they'll likely be youtubed and a bit shorter and more to the point than day9s hour or so long episodes. I'll likely be doing this every Monday and the vids will range from basic RTS concepts all the way through to complex mid and late game situations common to masters level play. I'm hoping to get guests ranging from other TA coaches to other top Aussies and south east Asians.
The point of this specific post is more cos I'm bored right now and a teaser for everyone. I alrdy have cliffnotes of what I want to do for the very first episode, and ideas for future episodes, however if anyone has anything they'd specifically like me to do and episode on (examples might be early game vs mid game mind sets, what's the best way to properly analyze a loss, what are basic RTS concepts, etc) let me know in a post here .
I really like the initiative pinder, and if i can help in any way, i'm here if you need be (can't really think of anything right at this second though t.t)
aright im officially back on aus soil and available for coaching again. pm me or email me at johnopinder at gmail dot com if you're interested in setting something up (first session still free so you got nothing to lose yo!)
yo guys pm me so we dont spam the thread too much, but pm me with available times and ill get back to you, SiF specifically im away this weekend, but im available most of the time mid-week
