[Strongmike]

Hi guys,

Long time member of the community here. Ex war3 player named Psycho and currently Strongmike in Starcraft 2. I briefly played with Moonglade, Wobbly_au, Filthy and some other notable Warcraft 3 players in the Aussie scene. I was a Masters player On NA a few years ago and GM on SEA in Starcraft 2. I am currently working towards becoming GM across all servers but this probably won't happen because I am 29 and slow. Hey my APM is still 225!!! I am also a musician and teach guitar for a living. To the point....

I'd like to start a Sydney based League and series of single tournaments open to all players - sometimes league restricted, we'll see how we go.

I have access to a venue called http://www.thenerdcave.com.au/ which is located in Sydney City near central station.

It currently has a limit of 10 computers with copies of sc2 and various other games such as hearthstone (which is awesome) and LOL (which I am not running tournaments for because it is the devil).

I will have to book the computers but because I know the owner it will be at a discounted rate.

So here goes,

This is quite simply an expression of interest from me and I would like to see if anyone would be interested in attending on say a Sunday - Morning/ night depending on numbers and computer limitations.

There would be something like a 5-10 dollar entry fee which would simply cover computer/room hire/ possible prize money. I have confirmation that we can get prizes such as headphones from a supplier (unable to say at this time) and obviously prize money if we find it's legal.

Another great idea would be league points for SEA tournaments/qualifiers etc.

I would also like to start a competitive team in Sydney. This tournament/league would be a way of weeding out new and upcoming players. I would also like to compete in this team, maybe not in the league if i'm running it!!!

Anyway,

This is serious, I am not just another hopeful and I do have access to venue, suppliers, my own free time due to my chosen career and a HUGE passion for games and the community.
