It is with great pleasure that I officially announce the opening of SYF Gaming's SC2 Academy! After a few weeks of heavy consideration about the applicants, as well as going through the interview with the short-listed people, we have chosen the people whom we think can really benefit from the Academy. The Academy is all about looking for people who have the potential to improve even more, instead of people who are already good. I hope that with this opportunity given to the following players, they will prove themselves worthy of the privilege and be able to move to greater heights!

Some people think he's the next breakthrough Protoss, some people think it's because he's cheesy that's why he can take games off pros. No matter what people say, I'll always have a strong admiration and respect for this guy's #dedication. Like come on, have you seen the amount of games this guy has? There's no doubt that he has improved over the course of laddering. I love stalking, so I have seen him being stagnant in Diamond league, and then one day, bam, promotion. And he has been at that level consistently now. I strongly believe that with the guidance of FIGHTO and Hitman, he'll be able to do even better and show his improvement in weeklies to come.

"I'm extremely happy to have been selected to join SYF Gaming as part of its academy. I'm looking forward to working with everyone in the organisation and improving until I prove myself worthy of a spot on the main team! Hopefully you'll see my name deep in tournament brackets soon ^_^"

This guy, been around in the scene for so long everyone knows him. In some of your eyes, perhaps he's just another Zerg, not someone to be afraid of. Maybe at this point he is, but likewise for SouL, I've also seen him laddering for ages at Diamond after Blizzard changed the league distribution thing or something, and then suddenly, bam, Masters and everything went well from there. Qualified for groups at ACL (but didn't do so well), constantly at Top 25 / Top 8 of Masters league, etc.. He's a custom games kind of guy, so I know he'd definitely benefit from this opportunity a significant bit.

A Terran, the most rare breed ever in SEA. You have less Diamond Terrans than Zergs in the Top 16 of the OSC standings currently. Picking up zeNo is definitely a long shot, but that's what the academy is all about. The first time I noticed zeNo was when he was still a Gold Zerg, then slowly climbed up to Diamond and then switching race back to Terran. Now, he's TOP ULTRA HIGH GOSU ALMOST MASTERS BETTER THAN EVERYONE Diamond, and I know he can definitely go further (this line is getting old). No really, I'm hoping with him for a breakthrough soon and we can see him finish decently in weeklies!

Despairing for my lack of motivation, direction and yes, dedication, I pondered upon the answer to this query atop a mountain summit in some nondescript range because this is entirely made up.

Fame?
Glory?
Wealth?

No. Rather, what I sought was indeed what every true man must strive to seek.
Yes. Fermented milk products.

Thus, on this day it brings me great satisfaction to stand and face the troubles of the world, united and without trepidation, along side the esteemed Superior Yoghurt Fellowship.

snexwang, a very elusive guy. Maynarde has once said "can't have snex without the wang" in 2013. Though not active in weeklies and in the community, I'll be trying to get him more involved in these. Like Soundwave, he's a custom games kind of guy, as both of them used to grind games all day long with people in ETL. With both of them here, I'm sure some of their attitude and work-attitude will spill over into the other academics!

So with this, SYF Academy begins with these 4 hopeful players. In the future, if it allows, we may take in more people in the Academy, so stick around and listen out for the news!

These players will be carrying the [TtSYF] tag around in-game, as well as the TtSYF.Name name on SC2SEA, contrary to what other academies have done by putting an "A" behind their usual tags. Look out for them in upcoming tournaments here!
