Just wondering if people wanted to do one off gsl map bsg for once and get away from the normal blizzard maps that everyone who does bsg seems to complain about

Are you trying to get to diamond/master? Ladder aint base off GSL maps.

Baka and I have discussed doing GSL maps. Its probably gonna happen, to make a bit of variety available in the BSG tournaments. As in, actually having fun. We want to keep the BSG tournies primarily a learning experience, though, and having more games on ladder maps can only help BSG players.

I don't see why people in BSG would complain about the older maps, if they are complaining about imbalance that is.

GSL maps are much harder to play on, more expansions, half expansions, bigger area to move your army around (not to mention defend). I can see the winner being predominantly who can macro the best on maps such as those.
