SFTA Cup
Semi Final #2
Gamecom Nv vs Flash eSports
SFTA Cup is fast approaching, Week 1 will see Gamecom Nv face off against Flash eSports, Last time they faced off Gamecom Nv took a solid 3-1 victory, SFTA is an entirely new game, so dont count out the boys from the South East.
Players and Managers from both teams took the time to answer a few questions!

First of all congratulations on winning SEACL#3 and being invited to SFTA Cup!
Thanks. Obviously all credit goes to Jaz, GLaDe, deth, Rossi & UHF though.
Who from your own roster has surprised you most throughout the season and why?
I don't know if "surprised" is the right word, because obviously the whole team is capable, but to be honest the one who really stands out is definitely JazBas. He sports one of the strongest records throughout the entire event, despite having the least amount of practice time. Time zones definitely weren't on his side, either.
How is your team adjusting to the changes in Starcraft with Heart of the Swarm recently being released?
I guess we'll find out with our first major event 2 weeks away, but if the Skype chatter is any indication - the Terrans are feeling fairly confident, while the Zergs are very much out of their comfort zones right now. (And rightfully so; Wings of Liberty had been in a very stale position for a looooong time!)
If you could only give one bit of advice to all the members of your team ahead of your match with Flash eSports what would it be?
Don't underestimate anyone. Flash is a very strong team with the advantage of flying under the (Australian) radar for the most part. We need to be ready for anything, now more than ever. There are still hundreds of unexplored builds waiting to be unveiled in Heart of the Swarm.
Any final thoughts?
Good luck to all of the finalists, I hope I'll be able to escape work so I can watch all the matches! I'm really happy to see the guys doing so well, and extremely grateful to have UHF & our sponsors (Gamecom, Frag Labs, Horize) keeping the team running while I've been buried in work.

How was your experience SEACL#3 experience?
I had both a good and bad experience with SEACL. I strongly enjoyed the fact that there was a team league to compete in and i was happy with the performance the team put in. However i wasn't completely happy with my performance, especially in the ace match vs xeria and my tvz vs Revenant. I was also disappointed with the lack of streamed matches
For later half of 2012 and early 2013, many people considered you to be the best Terran in SEA, with the emergence of HotS, we’ve seen a resurgence in the Terran Camp with players such as iaguz, HuT and deth all making podium finishes recently, How have you adjusted to HotS, do you feel Terran is overpowered? or do the other races just need to more time to figure out how to counter Terran’s new toys?
I definitely felt i was the strongest terran in WoL and my goal is to maintain that going into the future. With HotS coming out i personally have not had as much time as i would of liked and as a result of that may not be showing as many results as i'd like. Definitely have respect for the level of play that iaguz has been putting out lately and im sure all the terrans will be tough contenders at the upcoming ACL. In regards to balance im fairly happy with the way the meta is playing out... Tvt is still very weird early game.. TvP is a very fun matchup atm but it can be very hard to scout transitions from a double gas opening... and tvz as usual the most intense matchup to play and i feel widow mines may be adjusted(although i have vsed many zergs adept at dealing with them). All in all i think the better player is still winning in the current state of balance
Who are you most worried about facing on the Flash eSports roster?
I'd be happy to play anyone.
What are you planning on focusing on in your preparation for your match vs Flash eSports?
Once i find out my opponent and maps that we will be playing on i'll be preparing my strategies accordingly to crush them.
Any Final words?
Thanks to yourself for sponsoring and running the SEACL #3. Otherwise thanks to everyone who was been cheering for myself and Nv
Looking forward to taking the final premiership and solidifying ourselves at the top of SEA

Recently we’ve seen you come out of hiding and post some impressive results, Winning the two most recently Melbourne LANs and placing 4th in back-to-back IESF Qualifiers, It seems the transition from WoL to HotS was seamless for you, what steps did you take to ensure you hit the ground running when HotS launched?
I hit the 'find match' button on ladder before and after the game came out a few hundred time.
Word on the Street is that you’ve been considering changing to team Protoss for Heart of the Swarm, will your Protoss make an appearance in the SFTA Cup?
No
Who are you most worried about facing on the Flash eSports roster?
Noone, drake and revenant are decent though, so I would like to have some good games vs them.
What are you planning on focusing on in your preparation for your match vs Flash eSports?
I'll probably hit the find match button a few dozen times or something
Any Final words?
Yes.

First of all congratulations on placing 4th in SEACL#3 and being invited to
SFTA Cup!
You recently took over the captaincy of Flash eSports what was the most challenging
part of taking on this new role?
The only challenging part is putting aside sometime for administration stuff, other than that no change actually.
Who are you most worried about facing on the Gamecom Nv roster?
MoonGlade, he's got such a huge reputation under his name, but to be honest i doubt i'll be worried against anyone, it will be more exciting to play against someone stronger.
What are you planning on focusing on in your preparation for your match vs
Gamecom Nv?
Refining builds is my key focus right now.
Any Final words?
I hope we'll show good games and keep viewers entertained. Fighting D

As many people know you entered National Service recently, many people considered
you to be one of the best Singaporean Players during Wings of Liberty, How has your
transition to Heart of the Swarm been given your NS commitments?
Given my NS commitment, I think that I've transited fairly well into HotS, but still improving slower than if I didn't have these commitments. But most importantly, what affected me most for my NS commitment was the loss of my hair.
SEACL#3 was a great tournament; albeit hasty because of HotS's release but it would have been quite a perfect team league if there was a playoffs for it(not the playoffs hosted by another party). Well, that and it would have been nice to have a dedicated team of casters for every play day, to let spectators follow it consistently.
Who are you most worried about facing on the Gamecom Nv roster?
I'm worried most about MoonGlaDe the most in Nv, because his looks are so competitive.
What are you planning on focusing on in your preparation for your match vs
Gamecom Nv?
I'll probably not plan anything specifically, but take it easy as it goes, since it's one of the teams stacked with the most SEA superstars, it's really gonna be hard regardless of who you face. I guess the only preparation I'll make is to bait out a Terran, so..COME GET ME ROSSI.
Any Final words?
I just hope that we'll produce an adequate result vs Nv, and not get totally rolled over. Remember to catch our games! We'll try our best not to disappoint.
Be sure to check out Gamecom Nv vs Flash eSports, Details below!
I dunno if this is still happening but Nv is in channel "SFTA" on SEA with the stream live and ready to broadcast. No-one from Flash is on Battle.net or Skype, Chris is busy with the CH tourney.
I wasnt involved in this at all I had no idea, I am just relaying what was said in Flash chat. I mentioned the thread said that time as well, so theres nothing I can do.
