Hey all Wolf Here

ive been wanting to give back to the community of this fine game. so ive been thinking. what if i held a tournament.
This led me think what sort of tourney would i host. ive decided on a Clan league. Yes i know there is already a clan league which is 1 more established and 2 is better ran then anything i could pull off. However this be the case , i am still interested .
My inspiration for this was watching the GSTL the other night.

So i have been thinking and since im a poor Bastard i could see a prize of $200- $500 as being more then fair for my first tourney coming out of my own money.

So in the comment section below before i make any more decisions about this . Would i be able to get anything you would want to see in this league and for any Clan Leaders to post their interest.

i realize this may not get anything but i still am interested to see the response i can get from the epic people of This fine Server.

I am almost 100% sure that alot people would totally love this. As a clan leader and player, i would be totally be in utmost agreement. I strongly suggest you have a talk with nirvana to talk about this.

I'll suggest combining the prize pool with Arnor for our third SEACL. Its awesome you wish to put forward your time and money, we could definitely use some more admin help and prizes, perhaps you can help manage one of the tiers. There were 5 tiers if I'm not wrong.

We have had plenty of discussion about the third season of the clan league which would start early next year. I know people really enjoyed the first two so lets plan it together and make the third one an even better! Was hoping the power rank system would be done by then so we have a nice automated reporting system that goes directly into the DB, but that is still a dream at this point.

Anyway PM Arnor he is likey going to be the head of the third season at this point.

Im thinking of making this a separate thing to the SEACL but still want to do what i can for the community.

Here are somethings that are running through my head

Run the my CL at a different time for example the second half of the year.

What would be the demo graphic of players to look at
( this im not sure because of most clans of from Bronze to Plat and maybe even diamond and then some into higher levels. my dilema is i want to cater to the little guy. but i will feel like a bit of a dick if i leave the Plats + out.
As i am making the prize pool from my savings (which could easily be spent at Pax Aus and my trip to melbourne) im worried that if i make 2-3 prize pools well then i wont have the money i need for pre determined things)

So maybe this wont happen but i do want to do something so idk there is my current rant like thoughts on what i may ( NOTE MAY ) do for you guys

P.S im trying not to be a dick in anyway i word this but still it sounds dickish.

one problem with having a cash prize in low league-comps is people smurfing for EZ money, still looks like a cool idea, hope you can work through it all.

Either way- SEACL will be back! (i was unaware of this before now)

PS- make sure you keep money for PAX! Everyone loves money being thrown at them, but its important not to forget yourself, and PAXmelb is definitely something to look forward to! dont deny yourself that experience for "our" sakes

Would be great but as some one said above, having large prize pools for lower leagues compitition isnt usually the best idea considering surfing. Not long ago a bsg clan got caught for smurfing, and that was just a friendly clan war. With that much money is basically be sure some one would smurf at some point.

Im on agreeal of working with arnor/nirvana to improve on the seacl. Even if it u just see if you can run one of the tiers and be in charge of it. Then you/your team/clan can be put down as the sponsor of that tier and get appropriete recognition. Lastly remember over saturation is real problem. Not that we got too many clan leagues atm, but with pX also looking at starting one and seacl and the other ones around the place, I think we need quality over quanity, so improving what we currently have rather then making new ones.

My opinion. Either way.even if you do do it ur selves then ill be very supportive of any clan league

Im kind of bringing up an old beaten horse, but if we are going to do another SEACL, can we actually make it *just* clans?

I.e. not having teams integrated in a clan league business.

Ive decided that im not going to do my original plan. im going to volunteer admin work for The Clan league coming up in the new year save the money and then maybe run a small 100 dollar tourney after the Clan league in April or something

I hope i dont disappoint but i feel its the smartest thing to do.

Should definitely do it, however I think you should work with some people out there who have had much experience with tournament running so it will be a professionally ran tournament that can open SEA to the world.

i want to do this sort of thing with my life so i have to start small im just going to help with the SEACL and work from there. i know it will suck now but i will make SEA a place where the big names come. im an ambitious ****. but Dreams are what make reality happen.
