The Intel Extreme Masters Singapore event is fast approaching, and we’d like to share the details on how to qualify for the Host Country Seeded Slot.

1 Player from Singapore is eligible to attend the IEM Singapore event happening at Sitex from the 22nd to 25th November. The seeded Singapore player will proceed directly to the Top 16 in IEM Singapore, which already includes the top 15 players qualifying from all over the world. The Top 16 players will then attend the event on the 23rd November to 25th November, where they will join the rest of the Top 8 from the Open Bracket (32 Players Open Bracket), and form the Top 24 players fighting it out in the Group Stages for IEM Singapore SC2 Finals.

The pre-requisite for this event is that you must be a resident of Singapore, either a permanent resident or a Singaporean before 10th November 2012.

Here is how we will determine who this player will be:

Number of Slots for this IEM SG Qualifying Offline Tournament :
32 (First come First Serve), Please confirm your registration by emailing me at jasper.mah@esl-asia.net after you have signed up for the cup. If there is no official reply on my end, the registration is considered invalid.

Format : Best of 3 , Single Elimination

Finals : Best of 5

Where to be: Come to the AftershockPC LAN Cafe this Saturday and watch the top players duke it out for the guaranteed slot to IEM Singapore and $650 USD cash guaranteed!

Note: There should be more info from the official ESL peeps soon (i hope) but for now note that Australians can participate in the IEM open bracket if they fly over (and pay the registration fee 60+ euros last i heard).

Sen is coming down to Singapore too to play in the open bracket.

ESL and MLG should start hosting plenty of Tournaments specifically for the BSG bracket. I would want to head down this Saturday but I can't because I am playing for a wedding. Even if I can I have to race from Katong.
