I'll try and get as much live update info on Petraeus, TargA and some of the other fan favourites at ESWC and edit it in here!
So far our 53 hour trip from Australia to France has been a bit bumpy on the way, stay tuned - I'll write a blog shortly and update you all.
Day 0 - Pet is tired, the trip and jetlag is taking its toll. He is excited for his group play on Friday and will do his best to make SEA proud. The venue for ESWC is great. Basically like EB Expo - but many more people checking out the new release games (Halo 4 and the new CoD have massive lines!!!). We got hassled at the Eiffel Tower for money but so far France has been great! - Food is amazing!
Haha those crazy Eiffel tower beggars "hakuna mutata.... now give me your money... 50 euros for a hat"
Gl Pet you can do it! Avoid junk food and make sure you eat a good amount of natural food + carbohydrates so you don't crash during the day! Drink an energy drink shortly before your games if you're very drowsy!
I am watching out for any news on Pet being on stream and how his games are going, I suggest watching this thread in case Chadmann updates us, or keep any eye on twitter and chatbox cause I will go full cray if he comes on stream!
Oh I didnt see that this thread existed, Pet about to play stephano now ill update this post with his progress... He was meant to be streamed but the caster was AFK. Here's updates so far from other thread
===
Hey guys, no stream for Pet yet but I'm logged into EU keeping an eye on him.
Currently 1-0 vs SortOf and in game 2 right now!
Update: Pet 1-1 vs SortOf on Cloud, from the match history looked like the both went for ling bane pressure and SortOf came out on top by quite a large margin but Pet managed to hold out for a 25minute game!
Pet 1-2 vs SortOf, game 3 on Ohana - from match history looks like standard pool first into macro game for both with SortOf getting the advantage somewhere in the mid-gamethen getting a better engage and winning the game... im just looking at match histories so might not be perfect :P
They changed the order of the games, Pet is playing vs Freizy now. (I'm gonna assume they're doing this because they want to stream Stephano vs Pet - I could be wrong though)
Will update this post with score vs Freizy. Don't know anything about him but apparently hes really good, Protoss AFAIK.
Update: Pet 1-0 Freizy, 25 min game. looks like standard immortal expand from freizy on entombed and macro game from pet. I'm gonna guess he won with his first brood push!
Pet 1-1 Freizy, 16 min game. Pretty sure it was an Immo Sentry allin on Cloud... So hard to hold on Cloud
Pet 2-1 Freizy, 45 min game on Ohana. Since it was a 45 min zvp I'm sure you can guess what happened... Chad just text me saying that they mined out the map! infestor brood imba yo~

UPDATES FOR VS STEPHANO (has to beat him to get out of group): First game underway
Pet 0-1 Stephano: Game started off with ling bane press from pet, he said he did a lot of damage but Stephano managed to come back... 15 Min game on Cloud
Pet 0-2 Stephano: Both opened pool first and went into a macro game, looks like pet got a slight lead but stephano managed to come out way ahead in the engagement: http://i.imgur.com/I3Ljv.png
Stephano said to Pet that he played very well!
I think this means Pet comes third in the group, with Stephano #1, SortOf #2 and Freizy #4.
Gratz to Pet for playing some close games against (IN MY OPINION) European's best 2 Zerg players!
Yes, thanks fenner for updating - I was planning on updating as much as I could from the venue - but the Press WiFi was abused pretty hard and I couldn't even connect - until it was time to leave -_-
Stephano said that Pet played very well and from the few games I could see he did exactly that. Very proud of his efforts in one of the most stacked groups in the tournament!!
Well done Pet.
Targa takes out Acer.Bly 2-0 but gets taken down by Mana 2-1 .
Good run Targa
SortOf also beat Squirtle 2-0
Yep.. PandaTank from sth Africa made a bit of a splash.. Making it to RO 8 and taking a map off Stephano PvZ.. Almost won game 2 also :-S Stephano was really chilled at the start of game 1.. Looked really nervous after it :-S
