Sydney, clearly the place to be for SC2 Tourneys had yet another tourney on Sunday the 30th hosted by City Hunter out in Chinatown (CBD).
Different format this time, we had 8 brackets of 3, with a Bo3 round robin. The top player from each bracket progressed to the championship bracket which was a Double elim Bo3 (Bo5 for Upper Finals and Grand Final).
I'll get to the results later, but firstly, a massive shoutout to TA for coming in full force, i've been talking alot of smack on my stream, but it was a pleasure meeting each and everyone one of you. Also met nGenLight for the first time who made me worry he was late, when actually he was hiding on a smurf in the corner.
Brackets were completely random, we all picked a piece of paper and it had our group on it. The randomness was fine, but almost too random with Bracket 3 Being TAriiChard, TAScarecrow and TAsomatic (Epic Teamkill!).
- wish is a very young player, yet more mature than most of us there, seriously was 100% shocked when meeting him, what a legend
- HotS is a beast, someone should clan this guy, pretty legit terran. Plays BW style macro too, was quite fun to watch
- TAriiChard teamkills 2 TA players (lol)
- Myth continues his unluckiness in brackets, facing PiG in eastwood and then myself here, good player
- Light expanded twice all tourney (Something like 15 games?), he either 5 gate allins or gets allin'd
Which brings us with a top 8 of:
nGenBenji
nGenLight
TAriiChard
TARossi
TASanchez
HotS
CJC
Chopper
(Note, 7 master players and 1 Diamond, Go me! :P)
Some pretty good games in there, i've got a bunch of replays and I will do some casts. Also to note, Finals was an extended series, which gave Light a 1 game advantage in the Bo5. It was a better option than forcing Rossi to beat 2x Bo5's, but everyone there agreed, Light was proberbly the best player there today.

It was an awesome day, thanx to everyone who was there. Benji and the TA guys were friendly and as awesome as an Icy Pole on a hot summer day.
It is true I only expanded like 3 times this tournament, my explanation is that why do I need to play a 35 minute game when my opponent's build allows me to win the game in 10!
Also every game that I 5gated (twice) I actually lost, because of how inflexible that strategy is (especially against T). I won most of my games playing standard (Gate Robo Gate) and just reacting to what I saw with my observer, which usually was a super greedy FE by T, as if I'm going to play from behind from there!
Also special thanks to Allan from City Hunter for hosting this amazing tournament by himself and going through the entire tournament without a break (10 hours).

Nice writeup, looking forward to the next one in March. Great to meet benji, Light and the 7 TA members who made sure we team-killed our way to the podium!
